A week in Florence. Indo-Italian Meeting, lunedì, 27 giugno 2011 - venerdì, 01 luglio 2011.
Organizzazione: Laboratorio città e territorio nei paesi del sud del mondo (LabPSM) del Dipartimento di Urbanistica e pianificazione del territorio, School of Architecture della Javavpur University di Kolkata, School of Planning and Architecture di New Delhi.

Rich in natural resources and ancient profound cultures, India, one of the BRIC countries, new leading poles of the global development, is going through a phase of great expansion, with new chances to successfully address persistent poverty and urban decay too.

On different sides expertise in Italian universities, the Florence one in particular, can find challenging opportunities for collaboration, if supported by qualified exchanges at various levels.

This initiative, A Week in Florence. Indo-Italian Meeting - open to students, researchers, professors and people interested in Indian culture and society - operates in this direction, aimed at broadening and strengthening relations between the universities and, more generally, between various cultural and economic dynamic sectors of the cities involved.

The “Week” has been organized by the LabPSM of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, thanks to the MoUs with the two Indian universities and Cooperlink funds coming from Ministry of Education, University and Researche. It represents a central moment of confrontation with the School of Architecture of Jadavpur University in Kolkata and the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi.
