PARADIGM SHIFT IN FAMILY BUSINESS AMONG TRADITIONAL TRIBALS IN NEYVELI

An attempt has been made in this paper to examine the Tribal families curiosity in carrying out their traditional works. The perception, attitude and mindset of the younger tribal generation is changing and it is apparent and noticeable in many ways that the tribal people are changing their traditional jobs due to various reasons. It is the absolute need of the hour to ensure whether the entire younger generation opts for the paradigm shift in their employment or any resistance to their change works in opposite direction. The paper analyzes the potential impact of a set of demographic variables such as age, gender, and other background factors, including level of education. The study was conducted on respondents from Neyveli and its outskirts. The major findings imply that factors such as career interest, pressure from teachers, friends, self-esteem, independent attitude, attitude toward work, attitude toward risk, leadership qualities, and team spirit all influence the youngsters intention to join the family enterprise.. Further, the findings also demonstrated that demographic variables such as level of education and gender have an impact on paradigm shift of the Tribal men.
