Official Notice by T-mobile and DeKalb County School Board

This is the "official notice" that was sent home via backpack with pre-K through 5th grade students in DeKalb County that is now being touted as satisfing the public notice condition for T-mobile cell tower zoning. Does "various locations" sound to you like they meant "your child's school" in this notice? And, who is the host of the meeting? For what purpose? It does not sound like they are looking for feedback, just giving a sales pitch and using the school as a convenient location. Needless to say, there was low attendance. Brockett reported 7 parents, who were caught off guard by the subject and outnumbered by T-mobile sales people. When one parent asked about the financial arrangements, T-mobile declined to answer. This flyer was clearly designed to discourage attendance and did not even go to members in the community who live near the school. Get the Cell Out of Here - Atlanta Chapter is a group of parents who have organized to oppose the actions of T-mobile in Dekalb County based on their non-compliance with simple zoning regulations, such as this one.
