Type of Organism (gram reaction, shape of the cell)


-A spherical, gram-positive parasitic bacterium, usually occurring in grapelike clusters

Diseases caused
- staph infection (small cut SI, boil SI, flesh eating disease) -mastitis in breastfeeding women (breast mass while breastfeeding) -neonatal sepsis

Treatment
- oral antibiotic (mild or strong antibiotic) or surgical removal of the infected area (for staph infection) -cold and warm compress, massage, allow milk to flow, use pain killers -these antibiotic includes: chloramphenicol, ampicillin, ticacarcillin, oxacillin

-A spherical, gram positive bacterium, occurs in chains and in pairs of cell

-scarlet fever (rash) -pharyngitis (strep throat) -impetigo (infection of the superficial layers of the skin)

-A rod-shaped, gram positive and its appearance on a gram stain resembles tennis rackets or drumsticks (a causative agent of tetanus)
