Why do you pinko commie liberals always claim you're true conservatives? No true conservative likes increased taxes. We believe in freedom, less taxes and less government intervention. I doubt you've ever voted for a conservative. No conservative would ever vote straight Democratic ticket.
TheBiggestAl added this note
The post-2010 GOP radical MN caucus is loyal to ideology and disloyal to Minnesotans. As a true conservative, I will have to vote straight Democrat in 2012 if the GOP leaders can't get their caucuses under control. It's time to give affluent Minnesotans the opportunity to pay their fair share of taxes. Gov. Dayton has shown the wisdom of compromise. It's time for the GOP to do the same.
Marsha Doten added this note
Recent "balanced" budgets have been produced at least partially by "shifts". These are only short term fixes that lead to an even tougher picture in the future. Borrowing from schools or the tobacco settlement, are just another attempt to paper over the problem. There is not reasonable alternative to raising taxes. The increase needs to be "sunsetted", but it is needed now.
Aaron Troost added this note
Here's the back and forth between the Governor and Legislature. For all those who care to read it. It appears that 7,700 people not having a tax increase is worth 20,000+ people being laid off. They are representing 0.00308% of the 2.5 million tax payers in this state when they say tax increases are unacceptable.
