    1. Click Start, type gpedit.msc, and hit ENTER. 2.

    Expand Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, AutoPlay Policies. 3. Double click Turn off Autoplay (it's on the right). 4. Select Enabled and choose an option from the Turn off Autoplay on drop down l ist. If your version of Windows 7 doesn't have Gpedit.msc, you still can turn off Aut oplay using Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
