Statutes and seasons He set for them, that they should not deviate from their assigned task. Happily, gladly they do thewill of their creator, Whose work is dependable. To the moon He spoke: “Renewyourself, crown of glory for those who were carried in the womb, who also are destinedto be renewed, and to extol their creator for His glorious sovereignty.” Blessed are You, Adonai, Who renews the months.
May it be Your will before You O Adonai our Elohim and Elohim of our fathers, make this coming month one of good and blessing. Grant us long life, a life of peace, of good, of blessing, of sustenance, of vigor, a life marked by a reverence for You and adread of sin, a life free from shame and reproach, a life of prosperity and honour, a lifein which there shall be among us love of the Torah, a life in which our heartfelt desiresare fulfilled for good. Amein. Selah.
He who performed miracles for our fathers, and liberated them from slavery tofreedom, may He quickly liberate us, and gather our exiles from the four corners of theearth, even all friends of Israel and show them His Salvation and let us say : Amein.
May the Holy One, Blessed be He, grant to us all His people, the house of Israel, for life and peace, for gladness and joy, for deliverance and consolation, and letus say: Amein
1 Praise ADONAI! Praise, you servants of ADONAI, Praise the name of ADONAI. 2Blessed be the name of ADONAI, From this time forth and forevermore. 3 From therising of the sun to the going down of the same, ADONAI's name is to be praised. 4 ADONAI is high above all nations, His glory above the heavens. 5 Who is like ADONAI,our Elohim, Who has his seat on high, 6 Who stoops down to see in heaven and in theeretz? 7 He raises up the poor out of the dust. Lifts up the needy from the ash heap; 8That he may set him with princes, Even with the princes of his people. 9 He settles thebarren woman in her home, As a joyful mother of children. Praise ADONAI!
1 When Yisra'el went forth out of Mitzrayim, The house of Ya`akov from a people of foreign language; 2 Yehudah became his sanctuary, Yisra'el his dominion. 3 The seasaw it, and fled. The Yarden was driven back. 4 The mountains skipped like rams, Thelittle hills like lambs. 5 What was it, you sea, that you fled? You Yarden, that you turnedback? 6 You mountains, that you skipped like rams; You little hills, like lambs? 7Tremble, you eretz, at the presence of ADONAI, At the presence of Elohim of Ya`akov,8 Who turned the rock into a pool of water, The flint into a spring of waters.PSALMS 115 1 Not to us, ADONAI, not to us, But to your name give glory, For your lovingkindness, and for your truth's sake. 2 Why should the nations say, "Where is their Elohim, now?" 3 But our Elohim is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases. 4Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men's hands. 5 They have mouths, but theydon't speak; They have eyes, but they don't see; 6 They have ears, but they don't hear; They have noses, but they don't smell; 7 They have hands, but they don't feel; Theyhave feet, but they don't walk; Neither do they speak through their throat. 8 Those whomake them will be like them; Yes, everyone who trusts in them. 9 Yisra'el, trust in ADONAI! He is their help and their shield. 10 House of Aharon, trust in ADONAI! He istheir help and their shield. 11 You who fear ADONAI, trust in ADONAI! He is their helpand their shield. 12 ADONAI remembers us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Yisra'el. He will bless the house of Aharon. 13 He will bless those who fear ADONAI,Both small and great. 14 May ADONAI increase you more and more, You and your children. 15 Blessed are you by ADONAI, Who made heaven and eretz. 16 Theheavens are the heavens of ADONAI; But the eretz has he given to the children of men.17 The dead don't praise ADONAI, Neither any who go down into silence; 18 But we willbless ADONAI, From this time forth and forevermore. Praise ADONAI!PSALMS 116 1 I love ADONAI, because he listens to my voice, And my cries for mercy.2 Because he has turned his ear to me, Therefore I will call on him as long as I live. 3The cords of death surrounded me, The pains of She'ol got a hold on me. I foundtrouble and sorrow. 4 Then called I on the name of ADONAI: "ADONAI, I beg you, deliver my soul." 5 Gracious is ADONAI, and righteous; Yes, our Elohim is merciful. 6 ADONAI preserves the simple. I was brought low, and he saved me. 7 Return to your rest, my soul, For ADONAI has dealt bountifully with you. 8 For you have delivered mysoul from death, My eyes from tears, And my feet from falling. 9 I will walk before ADONAI in the land of the living. 10 I believed, therefore I said, "I was greatly afflicted."11 I said in my haste, "All men are liars." 12 What will I give to ADONAI for all hisbenefits toward me? 13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the name of
ADONAI. 14 I will pay my vows to ADONAI, Yes, in the presence of all his people. 15Precious in the sight of ADONAI is the death of his holy ones. 16 ADONAI, truly I amyour servant. I am your servant, the son of your handmaid. You have freed me from mychains. 17 I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call on the name of  ADONAI. 18 I will pay my vows to ADONAI, Yes, in the presence of all his people, 19 Inthe courts of ADONAI's house, In the midst of you, Yerushalayim. Praise ADONAI!
1 Praise ADONAI, all you nations! Extol him, all you peoples! 2 For his lovingkindness isgreat toward us. ADONAI's faithfulness endures forever. Praise ADONAI!
1 Give thanks to ADONAI, for he is good, For his lovingkindness endures forever. 2 LetYisra'el now say That his lovingkindness endures forever. 3 Let the house of Aharonnow say That his lovingkindness endures forever. 4 Now let those who fear ADONAIsay That his lovingkindness endures forever. 5 Out of my distress, I called on ADONAI. ADONAI answered me with freedom. 6 ADONAI is on my side. I will not be afraid. Whatcan man do to me? 7 ADONAI is on my side among those who help me. Therefore I willlook in triumph at those who hate me. 8 It is better to take refuge in ADONAI, Than toput confidence in man. 9 It is better to take refuge in ADONAI, Than to put confidence inprinces. 10 All the nations surrounded me, But in the name of ADONAI, I cut them off.11 They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me. In the name of ADONAI I indeed cutthem off. 12 They surrounded me like bees. They are quenched like the burning thorns. In the name of ADONAI I cut them off. 13 You pushed me back hard, to make me fall,But ADONAI helped me. 14 ADONAI is my strength and song. He has become myyeshu`ah. 15 The voice of rejoicing and yeshu`ah is in the tents of the righteous. "Theright hand of ADONAI does valiantly. 16 The right hand of ADONAI is exalted! The righthand of ADONAI does valiantly!" 17 I will not die, but live, And declare ADONAI's works.18 ADONAI has punished me severely, But he has not given me over to death. 19 Opento me the gates of righteousness. I will enter into them. I will give thanks to ADONAI. 20This is the gate of ADONAI; The righteous will enter into it. 21 I will give thanks to you,for you have answered me, And have become my yeshu`ah. 22 The stone which thebuilders rejected has become the head of the corner. 23 This is ADONAI's doing. It ismarvelous in our eyes. 24 This is the day that ADONAI has made. We will rejoice andbe glad in it! 25 Save us now, we beg you, ADONAI; ADONAI, we beg you, now sendprosperity. 26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of ADONAI! We have blessed youout of the house of ADONAI. 27 ADONAI is Elohim, and he has given us light. Bind thesacrifice with cords, even to the horns of the altar. 28 You are my Elohim, and I will givethanks to you. You are my Elohim, I will exalt you. 29 Oh give thanks to ADONAI, for heis good, For his lovingkindness endures forever.
