From the moment her family fled Uganda under the threats of execution by dictator Idi Amin, she has chosen to step into her life with optimism and purpose. Ambers dramatic childhood and conscious choice to live from the heart lit the way to her courageous peace building work in places such as Afghanistan, Darfur, Iraq, Israel and Palestine. Amber is the co-founder of Prosperity Candle and founder of the Womens Peace Collection, two social enterprises that support and market the exquisite handmade designs of resilient and courageous women from areas devastated by conflict and natural disasters. Through these enterprises, Amber has given women around the world the opportunity to not only survive, but thrive, as artisan entrepreneurs. Ambers mission to celebrate women as a force for peace and prosperity has shaped her eloquent and compassionate global voice. Through her message, she seeks to awaken, inspire and empower women both in the United States and around the world.
