Tocar a Jess

Story based on Luke 8:43-48 / Relato basado en Lucas 8:43-48

One day Jesus was on His way to the house of a man whose daughter was very ill. As usual, a crowd followed and pressed around Him. In the midst of the crowd was a woman who had been sick for 12 years. She had spent every bit of her money on doctors, yet the sickness continued. Desperate, the woman thought, Oh, if I could touch Jesus, I know I would be healed! Then, seeing Jesus afar off, she anxiously made her way toward Him. It wasnt easy to get through the mob of onlookers who were all trying to get as close to Jesus as they could, but she was driven by that thought. She just had to touch Him!

Jess se diriga un da a la casa de un hombre cuya hija estaba gravemente enferma. Como de costumbre, la muchedumbre se agolpaba en torno a l y lo empujaba. En medio de aquel aluvin de gente se encontraba una mujer que desde haca 12 aos estaba enferma. Se haba gastado hasta el ltimo centavo en tratamientos , pero el dolor no cesaba. Desesperada, pens: Ay, si lograra tocarlo, s que me curara. Al ver a Jess de lejos, avanz ansiosamente hacia l. No era fcil abrirse paso entre aquella turba de mirones que pugnaban por acercrsele. A ella, sin embargo, un solo pensamiento la apremiaba: Tena que tocar a Jess!

Finally she came within reach, stretched out her hand, and was able to barely touch the edge of His robe with her fingertips. Immediately the pain that had plagued her for so long stopped completely. A warm and wonderful feeling of health and wellbeing swept over her body. She was healed at last! Jesus paused for a moment. He had felt healing power pass from Him. He asked, Who touched Me? With this crowd pressing around You, His disciples replied, You ask who touched You? But Jesus already knew who had touched Him. He turned to the astonished woman. She fell at His feet and told Him her story.

Por fin lleg cerca de l y, extendiendo la mano, alcanz a rozar Su manto con la punta de los dedos. Apenas lo toc, ces por completo el dolor que desde haca tantos aos la aquejaba. Una sensacin de salud y bienestar le recorri el cuerpo. Por fin se haba curado. Jess se detuvo, percibiendo que una energa sanadora haba emanado de l. Pregunt: Quin me ha tocado? Sus discpulos respondieron: -Con semejante multitud que te rodea, preguntas: Quin me ha tocado? Pero Jess, sabiendo ya quin lo haba tocado, se volvi a la mujer. Ella se postr a los pies de Jess y le cont lo que haba sucedido.

Your faith has made you whole, He told her. Go in peace and be healed of your disease. Touching His clothes hadnt made her wholeher faith had. There were probably several hundred people in that crowd, and surely many others also needed healing. What set this woman apart from them was that she believed with all her heart that Jesus could help her, so she acted on her faith. And the instant she made contact with Him, she was wonderfully healed.

l le dijo: -Hija, tu fe te ha sanado. Ve en paz y queda libre de tu enfermedad. La mujer no se cur porque toc las vestiduras de Jess, sino porque tuvo fe. Es probable que hubiera cientos de personas en aquella multitud, muchas de las cuales seguramente tambin necesitaban curacin. La diferencia entre aquella mujer y los dems es que ella crey en su corazn que Jess la poda ayudar y actu conforme a su fe. Y en el momento en que hizo contacto con l, fue sanada.
