Difference between Formal and Informal CommunicationFormal Communication:
We communicate formal messages or technical messages in FormalCommunication.
e.g. Please arrange for purchase and installation of CNC machinein the production workshop.
 There is a specific style, approach and pattern in formal Communication.
For example: Feelings and sentiments are out of place. While wemake a presentation, deliver a speech or draft a report,everything has a specific style, approach and pattern.
There is extensive use of visuals like graphs, charts, maps, pictures etc. informal Communication
For example: While making a formal presentation, a presentatorwill use different sorts of graphs and charts alongsidetext for arousing visual effects on the audience.
 The audience of formal communication is definite.
For example: The formal communication situation occurs at theplace of work and thus, the audience is according.People of specific rank and designation get togetherand interact with one another.
Formal communication involves oral as well as written forms extensively.
For example: There are variety of oral and written communicationsituations like face-to-face talk, telephonicconversation, presentation, interview, pressconference, group discussion, writing of letters,drafting of press releases, advertisements, notices,circulars, meeting agenda, minutes of meeting etc.
Informal Communication:
We communicate informal/social messages in Formal Communication
