An Act relative to the the geographic limits of fire district two in the Town of South Hadley
.
Whereas,
the deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is forthwith toensure all residents of the Town of South Hadley have access to necessary fire services,therefore, it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservationof the public safety.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authorityof the same, as follows:
1SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 79 of chapter 48 of the General Laws, or any other law,2rule or regulation to the contrary, the geographical boundary line of the current northern section3of Fire District No.2 in the town of South Hadley shall be extended to conform to the northern4boundary line of the town of South Hadley so that said northern section of the town shall be5annexed to South Hadley Fire District No. 2. All property or land or territory within the6boundaries of the town of South Hadley that lie north of the current South Hadley Fire District
