Introduction
The following is a general guide to playing Stranded 2. This free game is based upon the idea that you must try and survive on various desert islands. Using items you find on those islands you can construct tools, buildings and weapons. These will help when hunting for food or harvesting crops.

Ive created a forum for this guide and anything else you want to discuss thats Stranded 2 related. This was due to the amount of comments Id gotten on this page reaching critical mass and imploding wordpress! (joking). First steps on the island

When you first arrive on an island, youll need to check for several things and keep notes of where useful areas / items are. Its best not to stray too far, unless you have enough food and water.

Check initial area for any shipwrecked cargo boxes, break these open for items Find a stone and a branch (attack a tree for one), combine them and youll get a hammer. Right-click the hammer to create a building site, youll want a shelter. Search for food, including berries / mushrooms / grapes / cocoa plants / bananas / coconuts / wheat / animals (mind the dangerous ones) Search for fresh water springs or pools (salt water is nasty), sources of iron, cotton and good area of trees.

Trees and plants

Planting
To plant things simply put the item in your hand, look at a spot on the ground (not too close to another plant) and then press E. Plant Skill level Grain 0 Grapes 0 Hempleaf 0 Berry 50 Leaf 200 Branch 200 Banana 400 Coconut 400 Cacao 400 Coffee 400 Plum 400

Loctus Plague!
Getting your crop eaten by Locutus, heres why they appear. The game will check the following list, if it is all true (with a bit of random bad luck as well) youll get a plague.

Going to sleep There are more than 30 grain plants on the island You have a planting skill level of over 40 Game does a random number from 1 to 3, if its 1, the plague starts

Anyone whose really interested, the game will loop through your grain and pick one every 5, 6 or 7 plants and then send in the locutus.

Combinations
Items can be combined to create other items, these include buildings, weapons, tools, food and others. This list is a bit of a spoiler, so please dont rely on this. Id only check this list if youre stuck and in urgent need of something or losing interest in the game because you cant figure out the combinations.

Quest
1. The quest notes are incomplete as Ive gathered this information from comments until I work through this island again. 2. Smash the three barrels/crates on the beach and collect their contents, youll need them. 3. Make sure you familiar yourself with the fresh water locations for when youre thirsty. 4. Youll need to work on a shelter, attack a large tree until you gain a branch, then locate a stone. 5. Combine the branch and stone to make a hammer. 6. Select a suitable location for your shelter (I pick near the beach where you started), equip the hammer, right click on the ground. 7. You can then select the shelter (dont try the tent yet, its harder to build). 8. Go around attacking trees to collect branches and leaves for the shelter. Try not to attack a tree too much, itll be destroyed. 9. Make sure to monitor your energy, thirst and hunger levels. 10. Go looking for the flints if you want, otherwise branch + bark should do as an alternative. 11. Smash the three barrels/crates on the beach and collect their contents, youll need them. 12. Make sure you familiar yourself with the fresh water locations for when youre thirsty. 13. Youll need to work on a shelter, attack a large tree until you gain a branch, then locate a stone. 14. Combine the branch and stone to make a hammer. 15. Select a suitable location for your shelter (I pick near the beach where you started), equip the hammer, right click on the ground. 16. You can then select the shelter (dont try the tent yet, its harder to build). 17. Go around attacking trees to collect branches and leaves for the shelter. Try not to attack a tree too much, itll be destroyed. 18. Once youve built your shelter, you should now focus on building a fireplace (stones and branches). 19. Go looking for the flints if you want, otherwise branch + bark should do as an alternative. 20. Light the fireplace by holding the flints and attacking the fireplace (left click). 21. Build Storage > Storage.

22. You should now be able to build Buildings > Hut. 23. Youll discover a lockpick when you finish building the hut. 24. Use the lockpick to open the box, youll find a map and a spade. 25. Check the map, goto the X and dig. 26. A pirate will come to the island on his invisible boat. 27. To catch the parrot youll need to make a net and use it. 28. Once youve catch the parrot, talk to the pirate again. 29. Hell send you to dig up three treasures. 1. The one on the small island will make a flaming turtle appear (I kid not!). 2. Another one, between three palm trees next to a nest, will make 3 claw monkeys appear. Beware, theyll instantly attack you and you cant outrun them, make sure youre ready for battle. 3. The last (SW corner) is in Lion country, so again, be prepared. Once you dig it up youll encounter a grape vine!? 30. If you want to stay on the island for a while, dont talk to the pirate just yet. 31. Take the treasures back to the pirate and youll leave the island with him.

Quest
1. 25 Children of the sea = clams, starfish and hopefully anything else in the sea. 2. WARNING THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS!! To get to the second island, you either have to build a hut or a tree house, when you build one of them, you will find a lockpick, then go to your crashed boat and next to the boat crash are these big rocks. Next to the big rocks is a crate that you cant open by hitting, you have to use the lockpick on the crate to obtain a shovel and a map, look at the map and dig at the X on the map, once you dig, a pirate will come out of no where. Talk to the pirate, then go make a net(branch + cord), with the net catch a parrot(red bird) the best place to catch a parrot is at the mountain on the left of the crashed boat. Once you catch it, go talk to the pirate again then, he will ask you to go dig up some bags of gold. Once you dig them, go talk to the pirate and you'll flee the island and move on to island 2 out of 5. Here's a tip on island 2, go kill the claw-monkeys first, there are a total of 2 clawmonkeys.
