Do you want to  swim in cold water?
CopyrightedDante Newton, 2011
that today is an algid and nippyafternoon. All along you have seen those achromatic and pearly pounds of snow taking up space outside yourhome, a semblance of you stayingwithin an enclosed icebox. You lookoutside the window and espy childrencachinnating as they play in the snow. The sight of them suddenly remindsyou of your hebdomadal trip to the public swimming pool. You rush to packyour swimming suits into your bag, leave the house and trudge along the icy flakes to the pool.
There you are, doing warm-ups for aswim in this cold day. Soon you spot anadult flouncing his way to the pool, hisface ostensibly petrified by the sight of  the gleaming water. He took his time tostep into the pool, as if gingerly avoidingsome omnivorous sea creatures lurkingnearby. He looks ahead andunexpectedly return to the platform. You overhear him saying that the pool
is too cold and he don’t want to get
spasms. Then, you spot another mandoing his stretching exercise and isdecidedly poised to jump straight into the pool. His legs bent, his arms coming back
and he leaped into the water witha clangourous splash. He totally forgets about the chillywater around him and swimsforward with forte and gusto towards the other end of the pool.He is so different from the timorous and pusillanimous man,who acted like a toddler shiveringwith fear at the sight of a largeexpanse of water.
