New in Photoshop CS are layer comps and the Layer Comps palette. Think of layer comps as "snapshots" of the Layers palette, recording the stacking orderand visibility of each layer, as well as layer styles applied and the position of the content of each layer in the image. Unlike history snapshots, layer compsare preserved with the document when saved and reopened.
Layer comps do not serve as recorded history states. If you save alayer comp, apply a filter, and return to the saved layer comp, the filter is notreversed.So, why layer comps?
