    Whats the story behind my name?

    This week we are focusing on get to know you literature. We have just read the book Chrysanthemum in class. Please have your child tell you about the book. Tomorrow we will begin making a class book about our names. Each student is going to write a page about their name. Please allow your child to interview you about the origin of their name, and discuss the questions that follow with your child. They will take notes to help them while writing in class. Does my name have a meaning? What is the meaning?

    Who chose my name?

    How was my name chosen (saw it in a book, Grandpas name, heard it in a movie, etc.)?

    Why was I given my name?
