REGULATIONS FOR ADMISSION INTO MBBS & BDS COURSES FOR THEACADEMIC YEAR 2011-12
1. The following are the Regulations for admission of students into MBBS and BDS Courses inMedical and Dental Colleges (As appendix - II) in Andhra Pradesh affiliated to Dr. NTR University ofHealth Sciences, Andhra Pradesh for the year 2011-12.2. The candidates need not to submit any application form for admission into MBBS/BDS courses asper G.O.Ms.no.140 & 141, HM & FW (E1) Dept., dated 04-07-2009.3. The Rank in EAMCET-2011 shall be the basis for the selection into MBBS and BDS Coursessubject to these regulations.
4. PROCEDURE OF SELECTION:
4.1 Selections will be made by the selection committee appointed by Vice-Chancellor,Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences. Selections are Course wise.4.2 Counseling Schedule: The counseling schedule was released on 13-07-2011 to DailyNews Papers and also Press Notification. No individual intimations will be sent.4.3 In compliance with t
he orders of the Hon‟ble High Court of A.P. in W.A.No.795/99 and
batch dated 23.2.2000; the selections are University Area wise.4.4 Reservations shall also be University Area Wise. While allotting the candidates to thecolleges, the percentage of reservations shall be maintained in each institution as far aspossible.4.5 The 15% of unreserved Seats will be filled First, then the 85% of the local seats will befilled as per the G.O.Ms. No. 42, Higher Education (EC2) Dept., dated 18.05.2009
The counseling shall be in three phases
4.5.2 In the first phase, OC seats will be filled up.4.5.3 In the second phase, the reserved category candidates selected under OC categoryshall be reallotted to the college of their preference depending upon availability of seatsin the respective category and their eligibility.If a category candidate selected under OC does not attend the 2
phase ofcounseling it will be presumed that he / she prefer to continue in the college in which he/ she got selection in the 1
phase.4.5.4 The third phase is only for reserved category candidates. In this phase selection andallotment of remaining seats reserved for the reserved category candidates and thosevacated during the second phase of counseling shall be made.
Phase II and III will be done simultaneously
.4.6 If a candidate is eligible for a same type of seat in the same course and in same collegeboth under the reserved categories of social status and under Army / NCC / PH / Sports& Games, he / she will be selected under the category of social status only. Thecandidates provisionally selected into one college will be considered for resultantvacancies in another college only. The allotment of college to the NCC and Sports &Games candidates shall be by rotation.
