REGULATIONS FOR ADMISSION INTO MBBS & BDS COURSES FOR THEACADEMIC YEAR 2011-12
 
1. The following are the Regulations for admission of students into MBBS and BDS Courses inMedical and Dental Colleges (As appendix - II) in Andhra Pradesh affiliated to Dr. NTR University ofHealth Sciences, Andhra Pradesh for the year 2011-12.2. The candidates need not to submit any application form for admission into MBBS/BDS courses asper G.O.Ms.no.140 & 141, HM & FW (E1) Dept., dated 04-07-2009.3. The Rank in EAMCET-2011 shall be the basis for the selection into MBBS and BDS Coursessubject to these regulations.
4. PROCEDURE OF SELECTION:
4.1 Selections will be made by the selection committee appointed by Vice-Chancellor,Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences. Selections are Course wise.4.2 Counseling Schedule: The counseling schedule was released on 13-07-2011 to DailyNews Papers and also Press Notification. No individual intimations will be sent.4.3 In compliance with t
he orders of the Hon‟ble High Court of A.P. in W.A.No.795/99 and
batch dated 23.2.2000; the selections are University Area wise.4.4 Reservations shall also be University Area Wise. While allotting the candidates to thecolleges, the percentage of reservations shall be maintained in each institution as far aspossible.4.5 The 15% of unreserved Seats will be filled First, then the 85% of the local seats will befilled as per the G.O.Ms. No. 42, Higher Education (EC2) Dept., dated 18.05.2009
 
4.5.1
The counseling shall be in three phases
 4.5.2 In the first phase, OC seats will be filled up.4.5.3 In the second phase, the reserved category candidates selected under OC categoryshall be reallotted to the college of their preference depending upon availability of seatsin the respective category and their eligibility.If a category candidate selected under OC does not attend the 2

phase ofcounseling it will be presumed that he / she prefer to continue in the college in which he/ she got selection in the 1
st
phase.4.5.4 The third phase is only for reserved category candidates. In this phase selection andallotment of remaining seats reserved for the reserved category candidates and thosevacated during the second phase of counseling shall be made.
Phase II and III will be done simultaneously
.4.6 If a candidate is eligible for a same type of seat in the same course and in same collegeboth under the reserved categories of social status and under Army / NCC / PH / Sports& Games, he / she will be selected under the category of social status only. Thecandidates provisionally selected into one college will be considered for resultantvacancies in another college only. The allotment of college to the NCC and Sports &Games candidates shall be by rotation.

4.7 All the qualified candidates in EAMCET-2011 and those who have fulfilled the eligibilitycriteria may attend the counseling as per the schedule for admission into MBBS andBDS courses for the academic year 2011-12.4.8 Candidates attending counseling will have to be accompanied by the parent / guardianat their own expenses. The candidates have to pay the Counseling Fee at the receptioncounters of the respective counseling centers. The Counseling Fee for OC and BC isRs.500/- and SC and ST is Rs.300/-4.9 Candidates are considered for admission only for such categories for which they climereservation by documents.4.10. The selection will be made only from among the candidates who physically presentthemselves when called in order of merit. Claims of the candidates will not beconsidered if they are absent when called at the time of selection and the next in themerit would be called.4.11 The selected candidates shall submit all the original certificates and shall pay theUniversity fee and Tuition fee on the day of selection at the Counseling center as perRegulation 13 (2). The University Fee once paid shall not be refunded under anycircumstances.4.12 THE CANDIDATES SHALL PAY THE FEE PAYABLE TO THE COLLEGE AND TO THEUNIVERSITY ON THE DAY OF SELECTION / COUNSELING ITSELF. IF THECANDIDATES FAILS TO PAY THE FEE AFTER CHOOSING A SEAT IN A COLLEGE,THE ALLOTMENT WILL BE CANCELLED AUTOMATICALLY WITHOUT ANY NOTICE.4.13 If a candidate desires to cancel / withdraw their selection after submission of OriginalCertificates and payment of fee, the candidate has to withdraw by submitting a written
requisition along with the consent of the Parent to the “Regis
trar, Dr. NTR University ofHealth Sciences at Vijayawada with in the prescribed period as notified by the Universityas informed in the selection intimation. THE ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES ANDCOLLEGE FEE PAID BY SUCH CANDIDATE WILL BE RETURNED.4.14 If any further selection conducted by the University the resultant vacancies shall beopen to all the candidates below the rank of candidates who have not joined the courseand the candidates who were absent in the earlier selection. The resultant vacanciesshall be filled by the candidates belonging to the same category of the seat as thosewho have not joined the course or vacated the seat.4.15 Mere attending the counseling does not confer right for a seat.4.16 Any candidate who obstructs the proceedings of the selection committee or otherwisemisbehaves or causes disturbance at the committee meeting, will be liable fordisciplinary action as may be taken by the University.4.17 The committee shall have the power to cancel the selection or admission of thecandidate at any stage if it is detected that the selection or admission is against theregulations either during selection or before closure of admissions.4.18 All the candidates selected should undergo Medical Examination as directed by theHead of the Institution concerned. The admission of the candidates shall be subject totheir fitness in the Medical examination.4.19 Candidates shall be present till the end of the selections to be available in case, if theyneed to be recalled for any reasons.
