Concern
Doesnt break down in water. The chemicals hitch a ride through wind and water, and now infect 70% of stream samples and 40percent of groundwater samples.i There is virtually no atrazine free environment in US.

Effect
Promotes hermaphroditism, the scrambling of sex traits. iiiii Also linked to diabetes.

My Action
Install water filter on sink and showers. Eat organic produce

Beauty products Shampoos, moisturizers, shaving gels, toothpaste Baby products

Found in certain mascaras, blushes, make-up, and lipsticks Petroleum-based ingredients

Infants under the age of 8 months are vulnerable to adverse effect because of there under developed endocrine and reproductive systems.iv

Because it leaches into the food and beverages we consume, virtually everyone in the world is exposed to the substance.vi Endocrine disrupter. Concerns related to fertility, normal male-to-female sex ratios, and reproduction..

Endocrine disrupter. Male developing babies are most susceptible. In utero, inhibits male hormones and creates abnormalities from birth defects to infertility to cancer.v Linked to breast and prostate cancer, genital defects in male babies as well as declining sperm counts, early onset of puberty in girls, metabolic disorders.vii The National Cancer Prevention Coalition lists Ajax Cleanser and Lysol Disinfectant as top cancer causes in the home. Estrogenic compounds are inhaled or absorbed through skin. Known carcengens.
