PROJECT TITLE: INSYNC EMPLOYEES DATABASE HOLDER, CLIENT: WALL STREET INSTITUTE, US ROLE: SOFTWARE DEVELOPER DURATION: APRIL 2008 FEB 2009 DESCRIPTION:
The Application helps in storing the total information of the employee in an organization, like employee contact details, projects handled, the department he/she is working for and to whom is he/she is reporting Etc. The Application works both offline as well as online. The information is passed between Flex Client and MySql Database using AMFPHP (Action Messaging Format for PHP). In this application the synchronization process is implicit. When user is online, the cache (a SQLite Database) is automatically updated along with the server database to make sure the user can go offline with the latest data without explicitly triggering a synchronization process. When the user is offline, the changes are saved in the local cache, and if the network become available while working in the application, the application would detect the network status change and automatically synchronize data (send your offline changes to the server and gets the changes made by other users while you were offline.
