Website
The Conference website has been officially launched on Monday, 16 May, at
www.un.org/dpingoconference. The website should be your source of the most comprehensive

information about the Conference. At this time, you should turn to the website for instructions on registration, visas and hotel accommodations. It will be updated regularly with information about the Daily Schedule, Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Roundtables, NGO Workshops, Youth events, Exhibits and relevant sustainability and volunteerism resources. Speaker biographies and photos will also eventually be included. We encourage you to visit the site frequently.

Registration
Your trip to Bonn begins here! On-line registration began on Monday, 16 May. Please visit the Registration tab on the Conference website, and follow the instructions. Registration will conclude Tuesday, 16 August. Applications will not be accepted after the 16 August deadline. Registration will take place on-line through the Civil Society Organizations (CSO) Network. You must meet the following criteria to attend the Conference: Be an NGO associated with the United Nations Department of Public Information (DPI) or an NGO in consultative status with the United Nations through the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). NGOs not included in the above 2 groups, including NGOs associated with the UN Volunteers or UNEP, or NGOs recommended by the Federal Government of Germany or the City Bonn, are welcome to register, however they will be subject to an endorsement process

by one of the following: United Nations Information Centre, UNV, UNEP, the Federal Government of Germany or the City of Bonn. Please note that a confirmation letter will be provided only after the endorsement process has been completed by any of the entities indicated above. Registration is limited to 6 adults plus 2 youth (youth representatives must be ages 18 24) per organization.

Walk-ins will not be allowed. The Headquarters of each organization is responsible for the registration of its participants. To register: SIGN IN to the CSO Network http://esango.un.org/irene/?page=login

Visa
Participants are responsible for acquiring their own visas to Germany. See the appropriate Visa tab on the website for rules and regulations regarding visas to Germany.

Travel & Hotels


Participants of the 64th Annual UN DPI/NGO Conference should make their own air travel arrangements by contacting their favorite travel agents, websites or airlines. For the convenience of participants, the City of Bonn has prepared a list of hotel accommodations, including the Maritim Hotel and others near it. You may contact Annette Isengard (a.isengard@bonn-region.de), of Tourismus & Congress GmbH Region Bonn/RheinSieg/Ahrweiler, the company contracted by the City of Bonn to handle hotel reservations. A limited number of rooms have been set aside at a special rate for accommodations at the conference venue itself, the Maritim Hotel. If you are interested, please book early through the reservation options on the conference website before 4 August 2011. See the appropriate Travel tab on the website for accommodations. If you choose not to use these options for lodgings, you may also make your own arrangements by contacting any of the citys hotels and residences directly.

Conference Identification
The UN DPI/NGO Conference photo ID badge will be needed to get into the Conference sessions. To receive the badge, the participant must present at the Registration Desk a confirmation letter and a national passport issued by a Member-State of the United Nations. The Organizers will also recognize national photo ID cards only from citizens of Schengen Agreement countries (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland).
