Psalms 103
Blessed is the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not his benefits:Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness andtender mercies.Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy young is renewed like the eagle’sThe Lord executeth righteousness and judgement for all that are oppressed. He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous to mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquitiesFor as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him. Andhis righteousness unto children’s children; To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of dominion; bless the Lord, O my soul.
It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are notconsumed. Because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thyfaithfulness.
-Lamentations 3:22-23
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able toseparate us from the love of God, which is inChrist Jesus our Lord.
-Romans 8:38-39
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,the evidence of things not seen.
-Hebrews 11:1
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God,that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraidethnot, and it shall be given him.
-James 1:5
Psalm 19
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.Their line is gone through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. Inthem hath he set a tabernacle for the sun.Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strongman to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it:and there is nothing hid from the heart therof. The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord issure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of theLord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are trueand righteous altogether.More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also thanhoney and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is greatreward.Who can understand his errors? Cleanse thou me from secret faults.Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominionover me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the greattransgression.Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in theysight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.
