hen asked to write an article on serviceclubs and non-profit organizations, I didn’t know where to take this topic that is so dear to my heart. For nearly 20 years now, I personally havebeen involved with some sort of club or organiza-tion. I guess I picked up the passion to help from While growing up, my parents were always givingtheir time and money to worthy causes within thegreater Corona Valley. As they did in the past,my wife Rhonda and I continue what my parentsstarted by extending ourselves in our hometownof Corona. Our family is fortunate to be in a position to give back. We help countless church-es, service clubs and non-profit organizationsevery year. It’s not just about financially helpingout these organizations, but giving of our time. It’s just as rewarding knowing that we can helpimpact someone’s life and make a change in ourcommunity. That is what life is all about! The motto “give and you shall receive” speakssuch truth. There are hundreds of individualsI know that live by that motto every day. It’s won-derful to see, especially during tough economictimes. It is more important than ever to get out from behind your desk, roll up your sleeves, and show some support to a local service clubor non-profit. What you put into it, you will get back ten-fold in feeling like you have made a difference. So get out there and find a cause that is close to your heart and go make a differencein someone’s life.my parents, Pat and Roger Miller. When they cameto Corona in 1969 and purchased Thomas MillerMortuary from Ken and Lorraine Thomas, my par-ents were new to the community and they knew if they were going to succeed in business they had togive back to the community they lived in.
