 The model of 
occupational profiling
seemed to offer an approach worthy of further consideration in attempting toapprise colleagues of suitable forms of curriculum development to meet the skillneeds of companies and sectors.
Central to the model of occupationalprofiling is
work-process analysis (WPA).
 This approach to producing occupationalstandards and profiles, as an element incurriculum development as a prerequisite tonew vocational qualifications, may beviewed as the “paradigm shift”.
