Firstly, I want to acknowledge Mr. David
Franzoni for his message in Steven Spielbergs
hIn, Amistad, in which he encourages us to
consider that when we feel that the test at hand
is a difhcuIl one, ve can lake soIace in knoving
that we dont go it alone. Mr. Franzoni put the
following words into the mouth of the main
character, Cinque:
I have my ancestors. I will call into the past,
far back to the beginning of time,
and beg them to come and help me.
I will reach back and draw them into me.
And they must come.
For at this moment,
I am the whole reason they have existed at all.
To my Ancestors, I say,
At this moment,
I am the whole reason you have existed at all,
and I thank you.
In particular, I express boundless appreciation to:
My Grandmother, who carried the shamans
staff amidst brutality and untold loneliness.
My Father, who picked up the shamans
staff long enough to pass it to me.
My Mother, who trusted me to carry
that staff and use it to guide her crossing
and assist in setting us free.
I also want to acknowledge and express
appreciation to:
Aled Glyn Davies, who escorted me to the
edge of the waterfall so I could begin.
Stephanie Jourdon, who assisted me in re

Gloria Cooper & Jani Ashmore, who
waded through the many pages of this

Gloria Cooper, whose hands and heart crafted
the vessels that will preserve these writings.
&
Hank,
my husband, partner and a Knight Templar,
who honors the shamanic staff I carry
and daily cocreates a safe and sacred space
from within which these works emerge.
Lend me the stone strength of the past, and I will

The process of establishing The Center for
True North, LLC and taking my place in the
Shamans Circle has been ripe with medicine.
In Medicine Cards The Discovery of Power
Through The Ways of Animals, Jamie Sams and
David Carson tell us that tribal cultures describe
medicine as anything that improves ones connection
to life and the great mysteryanything that mends,
repairs and restoresthat brings power, strength and
understanding and that fosters living in accordance
with natural and divine law.
For as long as I can recall Ive been a seeker.
As I reach back into my ancient memory
the same seems true. I began my mystical,
metaphysical training through a series of study
courses accompanied by various initiations in
the early 80s. Over the past thirty years Ive
had the good fortune of receiving instruction
from and working with several instrumental and
inuenliaI nelaphvsicaI nenlois and sacied-
path facilitators. Some taught me principles and
concepts, others provided catalysts for growth
and healing, and still others assisted me in
activating ancient memory codes. Ultimately
this journey brought me to the realm of my own

inner authority where I realized that receiving,
recording and passing along True North
Transmissions was one of the splendid reasons
I am here.
Many consider, and I concur, that a spiritual
renaissance began in the late 80s. We are in the
midst of that reawakening today, which includes
the instantaneous availability of voluminous
quantities of information through various media
vehicles. In fact, over the past 30 years, ordinary
people have reported paranormal experiences
with unparalleled frequency. So, since the
Harmonic Convergence of 1987, metaphysics has
gone mainstream. Nevertheless, in the midst of
all of that, I still found myself hungering for a
clear experience of truth and a visceral connection
to my authentic self.
Spiritual Adulthood ~Gateway to Freedom~
is lhe hisl voIune in a 3-voIune seiies enlilIed
True North Transmissions. This series is a
response to my quest for truth with an emphasis
upon exposing what I consider propaganda
currently being perpetuated in many secular
and spiritual belief systems, including in some
areas of the New Age spiritual movement.
This quest includes addressing the pervasive
spiritual hunger in our world, offering avenues
for assuaging that ache and outlining steps to

take toward what I call psychospiritual freedom
that includes authentic sacredness and profound
connection.
The textured strands of truth contained in
the volumes of True North Transmissions are
a compilation of insights and observations Ive
obtained through telepathically transmitted
selffacilitated vision quests and mystical
contemplation. In addition, I have sought
the literary company of many spiritual,
metaphysical, mystical and prophetic authors
vhose viilings have undoulledIv inuenced
these works.
Everyone is not only capable but also innately
worthy of sensing energy and experiencing
mystically inspired messages. In fact, in our
dream and meditative states we are naturally
more receptive and available. All that is required
is a heartfelt desire to replace skepticism with
receptivity, fear with gratitude and unworthiness
with selfordained deservingness. In addition,
for me, faith is intrinsic to receptivity. However,
faith isnt a blind, devotional reliance on someone
elses assurance that our prayers are being heard.
Faith is the foundation upon which our co

creative expression develops and from which it
Ieaps inlo ighl. Il has leen pioposed lhal failh
requires leaping and that rather than waiting to
take the leap because all is well, it is preferable
to trust that all will become well when you have
taken the leap. From repeated leaps, come trust
and knowledge. To accomplish that, I call on the
stone strength of my personal and our collective
past to rouse me, and the wings of the future
to beckon me to continue leaping more deeply
inward toward my own true north.
My sense is that there is a particular energy
embedded in the pages of this series and that
energy can function as a vast encoded celestial
highway to truths sleeping just beneath the
surface. While some truths offered in this series
might provide comfort and encouragement by
conhining ones ovn insighls oi augnenling
previous concepts, others will contradict
currently accepted psychospiritual beliefs and
devotional practices.
The following concepts provide an orienting
context and foundational framework for these
writings:

- We are emanations of a Creative Source,
imbued with cocreative essence and
therefore have cocreative abilities and
responsibilities.
- Our human consciousness has realms
and intricacies that are undeveloped,
unexplored and unexpressed.
- There are realms beyond this one and
dimensions within those realms that we
have the ability to traverse.
- We possess a multidimensional awareness,
which I refer to interchangeably as the
Macrocosmic or Essence Self.
- Many truths about the creation and
evolution of the universes and the nature
and structure of Divinity have been
vilhheId, faIsihed, and disloiled, oflen
replaced by fabrications that bewilder,
subjugate and enslave.
- Everything we have experienced before
this has brought us to this place. In short,
we have been preparing all our lives for
these moments.
- Something monumental is occurring within
all of humanity, our planet, throughout the
universe and beyond, and we are invited
participants.

Recognizing what I have come to know
as the living truth, regardless of whether it
emerges from within us or are presented to us
by another, can have an effect not dissimilar
to regaining ones memory after a protracted
period of amnesia. Therefore, it can be extremely

our journey of recognizing and reclaiming living
truths. One of the most impactful practices I
know of involves a meditative journey into what

Chamber.
3PIRITUAL!DULTHOODs-ARIANGELA0INO,ANDAU
8
!Activating Our Cosmic Heart
Communion Chamber"
In the core of our being is a sacred center. We
enter this sacred center through the doorway of
the heart because not only is the heart the center
point in the overall energy system or design of our
incarnate earth self, but even more importantly,
the heart is the guardian of our intuition.
Our intuition is our profound inner knowing.
In fact, our intuition is a permanent plug into the
living truth, into personal and transpersonal
knowledge and wisdom that is hardwired from
our heart through our soul to our Essence Self.
Our Essence Self is another name for our Higher
Self, Macrocosmic Self, or Oversoul. Our Essence
Self is the totality of us.
It is through our intuition that our Essence
Self speaks to us, with our soul functioning as a
kind of translator or interpretive bridge. So the
language of our Macrocosmic/Essence Self is
intuition, and we can much more easily rouse and
consciously connect with our intuitive knowing
from within our heart chamber. Activating
our Cosmic Heart Communion Chamber and
connecting with our intuition expands our
consciousness and enhances our receptivity.
#HAPTER/NEs'ETTINGTOTHE(EARTOFTHE-ATTER
9
Furthermore, connecting with our intuition
is the key to unlocking the truths encoded
within us, and these encoded truths are our
holy grail. The legend of the Holy Grail is vast
and complex with several origins and multiple
interpretations. I am inviting us to consider that
the grail is neither a cup nor a lineage, but a set of
ancient knowledge or truths containing the story
not only of Yeshua and his teachings, but of our
origins, our cocreative heritage.
!Meditative Vision Quest Journeys
To Kindle Inner Knowing"
This type of meditative journey is different
from meditating on ones breath or focusing
attention on the third eye. In fact, our Cosmic
Heart Communion Chamber may remain inactive
simply because weve been taught to concentrate
on our thirdeye area as the meditative focal
point. In my experience, meditations, in which
we still our minds, focus on our breathing and/
or repeat mantras are useful for achieving levels
of tranquility and equilibrium. However, if we
are seeking to kindle inner knowing as a way of
receiving insight and guidance and/or to achieve
3PIRITUAL!DULTHOODs-ARIANGELA0INO,ANDAU
10
clarity that moves us forward on our journey,
then, in my experience, meditations that are akin
to vision quests prove more effective. Therefore,
I ieconnend nedilalive jouinevs lo hisl aclivale
and then continually develop our access to our
Cosmic Heart Communion Chamber.
!Our Hearts Have e Authority"
Our earthly minds have no real authority
because they contain our ego, which can insidiously
oppose us in recognizing, remembering and
assimilating the living truth. We tend to regard
our ego as a complex beast that runs rough shod
over our hearts and kidnaps our souls. However,
our ego is really a survival construct that resides
in the limbic portion of the brain. Its primary
piogianning is hghl oi ighl and ils nainslav is
fear. Fear has a faithful companion sorrow, and
fear and sorrow can immobilize us.
However, the amazingly good news is that
in our Cosmic Heart Communion Chamber
connected to our Essence Self, fear is transformed
into assurance and sorrow into bliss. In fact,
our holy heart has the power to induce in us an
exquisite state of gratitude and understanding that
#HAPTER/NEs'ETTINGTOTHE(EARTOFTHE-ATTER
11
transmutes disbelief into organic power, pretense
into authenticity, criticism into appreciation and
worry into assertion. Additionally, in our Cosmic
Heart Communion Chamber, polarities more
easily integrate and the principles of unconditional
regard, donoharm, unity in diversity and non
interference shine forth from our luminescent
nature.
There are a variety of meditative and vision
quest practices offered in spiritual teachings
(including one offered in Appendix One at the
end of this book) and whatever practices work
best for each individual is recommended. The
important thing is to activate our heart centered
point of consciousness and to experience that
consciousness as often as possible as part of
our meditative journeys because our hearts will
always lead us to truth and in a direction that is
for our highest good.
!e Unspoiled Sacred Center
Of Our Hearts"
In a future chapter we will explore how our
experience of disconnection from the Source
stems from the label of sinners who have fallen
3PIRITUAL!DULTHOODs-ARIANGELA0INO,ANDAU
12
from grace and the imprinted belief of being
separate from Source. However, labels and
imprinted beliefs did not sever our connection,
but only temporarily distorted or disrupted
it. Regular journeys into our Cosmic Heart
Communion Chamber are an unparalleled
means of remedying any and all disruptions and
distortions, for this sacred center of communion
does not recognize wounds of unworthiness and
is untouched by maladies of untruth.

No doubt we can all agree that monumental
things are occurring within humanity as well as
with the Earth. I presume that most individuals on
a spiritual path, particularly since approximately
1987, have come into contact with the concept of a
paradigm shift. My use of the term paradigm is
synonymous with a customary model, established
standard and/or patterns or precedents that
one follows. Paradigm shifts are characterized
by leaps in understanding and expansions in
consciousness, whereby profound evolutionary
changes take place. A paradigm shift is upon us
and at the heart of it is the opportunity to cross the
threshold from spiritual adolescence to spiritual
adulthood. Therefore, the most important way
3PIRITUAL!DULTHOODs-ARIANGELA0INO,ANDAU
14
to participate in this shift is to become spiritual
adults.
!e Privilege and Responsibility
Of Paradigm Participants"
Everyone consciously participating in the
current paradigm shift is a spiritual trailblazer and
bridge builder. This shift requires that we do our
part to dismantle the old paradigm and construct
the new one. The bridge we are constructing is
from the current reality to a new earth reality, and
a foundational aspect of the construction of this
bridge involves our graduation from spiritual
adolescence to spiritual adulthood.
An essential step in the direction of spiritual
adulthood is the reclamation of our divine cosmic
identity. The next steps involve not only taking
up the four passkeys for crossing the spiritual
adulthood threshold but also using them in such
a way that transforms our lives and empowers
lhe fuIhIInenl of lhis paiadign shifl.
This shift encourages us to stand in our co
creative authority by owning the living truths
we remember and recognize. We own truth
by embodying it, by being courageous enough
#HAPTER4WOs4HE#URRENT0ARADIGM3HIFT
15
to live our truth, to walk our talk. In addition,
we dismantle the old paradigm by separating
restrictive beliefs that weve obtained from
outside sources and accepted or adopted as fact
and separating them from what we determine to
be the living truth. This occurs when we take
a courageous stand and sift through the beliefs
weve embraced as truths, allowing for the
possibility that a portion of the truths that weve
been holding and ordering our lives by might
now be holding us.
We have an extraordinary opportunity to
replace information (ideas, facts, data) we have
absorbed and adopted as belief with the living
truth and to step into the freedom of truly thinking
and feeling for ourselves. We are being invited to
honor our intuitive knowing, to trust ourselves,
to honor the experience of being challenged by
opportunities for freedom and to welcome being
stretched outside our comfort zones.
!Finding e Truths at
Vibrate In Our Very Core"
Our emergence from spiritual adolescence
to spiritual adulthood, which involves separate
3PIRITUAL!DULTHOODs-ARIANGELA0INO,ANDAU

limiting historical beliefs from enlivening truths,
entails examining how concepts or information
lecone leIiefs in lhe hisl pIace. We aie exposed
to data in the form of information and concepts.
We take in the information and concepts, digest
and assimilate them and then adopt the data as
fact. These facts become beliefs. And more often
than not our beliefs take up residence within us
as truth. Our truths become convictions that we
defend and protect as irrefutable dogma.
As we continue our journey toward spiritual
adulthood it is vital that we detach from the
beliefs weve stockpiled, particularly those that
come from external source authority. Instead,
as we assess what resonates as the living truth
within us, we become more inclined to rely on
our own inner promptings. And as we rely
more and more on our own inner promptings,
a snowball effect commences because the more
we rely on our inner promptings, the easier it
becomes to evaluate whether what we see, hear
or read genuinely resonates as the living truth.
The more our ability to recognize and reclaim
liulhs incieases, lhe noie ieIieved and salished

lhe noie fuIhIIed and gialefuI ve lecone. The
noie fuIhIIed and gialefuI ve lecone, lhe safei
we feel.
#HAPTER4WOs4HE#URRENT0ARADIGM3HIFT
17
When we experience selfreliance via assessing
and utilizing the living truth and when we have
understanding and knowledge, we feel safe.
When we feel safe, there isnt much room for fear.
However, if we ignore these vital steps, we risk
continuing to evaluate what we see, hear or read
from our historical lens, and will therefore likely
conlinue lo defend lhe piisons ve hnd ouiseIves
in. It is somewhat of a paradox, for we have to be
willing to step outside our prisons to know that
we were in a prison.
At this point in the current evolutionary cycle
we are much more aware of our ability to create
our own reality. That which we experience as our
reality is based on our beliefs. Indeed our beliefs
dehne oui ieaIilv. Iuilheinoie, oui leIiefs
inuence oui choices and oui pailicipalion in
life, and many of our beliefs often dampen our
soulful desires and distort the living truth that
vibrates in our core.
Many of us become anxious and rigid in the
face of change and therefore opt for the comfort
zones of holding onto familiar beliefs. Familiar
beliefs reinforce the repetition of patterns, and
this paradigm shift insists that we accept that
3PIRITUAL!DULTHOODs-ARIANGELA0INO,ANDAU
18
we cannot afford to remain stuck in repetitious
patterns.
!Our Highest Destiny Is Evolution"
All paradigm shifts challenge participants
to awaken to the fact that there is a difference
between belief and truth, to separate limiting
historical beliefs from the living truth and to
overthrow previous assumptions that dont
contribute to evolution. All paradigm shifts are,
in fact, evidence that previously held restrictive
beliefs and past assumptions can be overthrown.
Hisloiv veiihes lhal vhal once seened inpossilIe
not only found its way into the mainstream,
but also acquired impeccable credentials along
the way. Furthermore, history substantiates
that truths once considered heretical can now
withstand not only questioning and revision but
also recognition and acceptance.
The bottom line reason we incarnated at this
time as participants in this paradigm shift is to
graduate from spiritual adolescence to spiritual
adulthood. We are renegades and trailblazers, and
as such, we are encoded to graduate spiritually.
#HAPTER4WOs4HE#URRENT0ARADIGM3HIFT
19
This encoding predates all emotional, societal,
psychospiritual and religious grids.
This paradigm shift is about expanding our
consciousness and we expand our consciousness
because we genuinely yearn to explore uncommon
knowledge about the mystical aspects of our
origins and to reexamine reality as we know it.
In fact, we are encoded to explore uncommon
knowledge as well as to overthrow previous
beliefs and assumptions that dont contribute to
our highest destiny, and our highest destiny is
evolution.
!Heralds of Living Truth"
In the deepest part of ourselves I believe that
we long to become heralds of living truth, and
when we do so, any chains that have bound us
dissolves, the knowledge encoded in our beings is
activated and we become liberated broadcasters
of our cosmic heritage.

!Creations Many Faces"
The concept of creation has been examined
and delaled in ieIigious, scienlihc and psvcho-
spiritual arenas throughout time, with most
creation accounts involving either a singular
creator or a pantheon of gods and goddesses.
Beliefs about the nature of god, whether there is
a female counterpart to this god, whether there
is one true god or multiple deities, and whether
there is a difference between the Source or Creator
and god have traveled a long road and changed
a great deal through time. No doubt many have
lenehled enoinousIv fion lheii afhIialion vilh
the world religions on this planet. I do not seek
to target any one religion or to invalidate any
spiritual orientation. Rather it seems important
to note that beliefs vary so much from one
3PIRITUAL!DULTHOODs-ARIANGELA0INO,ANDAU
22
culture and religious orientation to another that
many are inclined to maintain that their beliefs
are unequivocally true and anothers doctrines,
values and viewpoints are dangerously false.
In general, in human history on Earth the
progression of beliefs has gone from animistic
magic to polytheism to monotheism. In
polytheistic religions, humanity seeks direction,
comfort and order from a variety of specialized
deities. These pagan gods seem accessible, each
occupying a limited domain with corresponding
powers and responsibilities. Monotheism
emerged approximately 4,500 years ago and with
it a great gulf came into being between a single,
omniscient and omnipotent deity and the pagan
pantheon. The concept of one supreme god is
the central tenet of most contemporary religions
and the dominant model of humanitys current
religious consciousness. However, it is not only
possible, but also highly likely that the supreme
gods that each religion recognizes and worships
are actually different creator beings from the
various pantheons.
#HAPTER4HREEs4HE4RUTHABOUTTHE3OURCE
23
!Challenging Sacred Beliefs"
For many it can be frightening and painful
to consider new concepts because it may require
either leaving the old ones behind or sifting
out from the old beliefs the tenets of truth and
building upon them. In his book, Tomorrows
God Neale Donald Walsch maintains, that the
time to challenge your most sacred beliefs is at hand
if you dont challenge them, theyll challenge you. In
that same work, Mr. Walsch urges us to consider
that unless we can admit that we dont know all
there is about God, we cant even hope to continue life
on this planet a great deal longer.
!We Are Divine"
To my way of experiencing it, the Source is a
senlienl ciealive eneigv heId. Il is lhe cause of
all things in existence. I envision the Source as
a huge wellspring and each of us emanations or
drops from that great wellspring. The Source is
the ocean of our origins. I use the term Source
instead of Creator, because source is synonymous
with origin, starting place, spring and font.
A depiction of the Source as the Wellspring
of Creation appears on page 30. Because we
3PIRITUAL!DULTHOODs-ARIANGELA0INO,ANDAU
24
are emanations of a vast creative, massively
inleIIigenl eneigv heId, ve aie inlued vilh lhe
same traits, attributes and characteristics as that
heId.
It is my perception that spiritual seekers
have difhcuIlv ienenleiing lheii divine oiigins
because we all have a certain degree of species
trauma and part of that trauma involves what
I call a primary spiritual label accompanied by
several spiritual imprints. The primary spiritual
label is of having fallen from grace with Creator
Source of having committed some grievous
act or a series of acts that disavowed us of our
inherent deservedness. One glaring example is
alive and well in Catholicism whose basic tenet
is that we were all born with original sin.
The notion of having been born with original
sin is absurd but it is nonetheless a powerful
tool of manipulation, domination and control.
When we combine that label with the imprinted
impression of separation from the Source, we
have the stunningly corrupt template upon
which nearly all major religions and even some
New Age spiritual systems base their moral code
of behavior. However, the great news is that
these imprinted beliefs and labels never severed
our connection, but rather temporarily distorted
or disrupted the connection.
#HAPTER4HREEs4HE4RUTHABOUTTHE3OURCE
25
Many of us have cellular memory of having
incarnated over and over with this constant ache
to feel connected while at the same time feeling
obliged to go through a lot of hoopla to earn or
deserve the right to return to an experience of
oneness with the Source. But, you see, we have
never been out of oneness with the Source.
This cellular memory has had a profound
effect upon us as spiritual seekers because so
many of us have spent lifetimes meandering about
oblivious to our true identity and clueless about
oui signihcanl pIace and puipose in lhe cosnos.
We have been starved for a clear experience of
truth and a palpable connection to our authentic
essence selves because these labels and imprints
have constricted us at our core. In my view, these
constrictions account for our slow vibratory rates
and low frequency.
!We Are Already Always One With Source"
There is no ultimate goal to return to oneness
with the Source because we have never been
out of oneness with the Source. The world of
external perception and separation is not real but
rather the product of labels, imprints, overlays,
3PIRITUAL!DULTHOODs-ARIANGELA0INO,ANDAU
26
distortions and entanglements that appear real.
Any notion of having fallen and a subsequent
need to return to Source is an illusion or false
impression.
Furthermore, there is no distant, patriarchal
authoritarian god or authoritative mother/father
deity that created us and maintains a watch over
the countless forms of life everywhere. There
are no deities to whom we might surrender our
destiny. Since the Source functions in accordance
with unconditional regard and noninterference, It
can neither control our destiny, nor interfere with
our free will, nor impose upon us an immutable
plan for our lives. Moreover, there are no beings
possessing an empirical right to evaluate our
behavior or who have any authority to issue
disapproving retribution or merciful grace. In
addition, the Source did not create many players
so that It could have a variety of experiences. The
Great Wellspring from which we issued forth is
not capable of using its offspring in that capacity.
This is a fallacy born from diminished perception.
There is a ladder to creation and we each have
a rightful place of honor within that construct. All
beings are individual cocreative emanations that
can trace their roots back to that Great Wellspring.
Therefore, the Source radiates through each drop
regardless of whether it has been stepped down
#HAPTER4HREEs4HE4RUTHABOUTTHE3OURCE
27
in vibration. No matter how far the receiver
experiences him/herself to be from the Source,
the signal does not differ in essence from the
original broadcast. The difference is in the
experience of the receiver. We are and always
have been conduits for the transmission of the
original essence energy.
This is the threshold of spiritual adulthood
and the Source wants us to cross that threshold,
to walk out of all prisons into the warm embrace
of truth and reclaim our rightful heritage.

!Drops From e Great
Wellspring of Creation"
As we embark upon an exploratory journey
regarding our cosmic identity, it is important
that we engage our imaginations. As part of
that engagement, please refer to the illustration
entitled, Cosmic Identity on the next page. In that
illustration, the Source is depicted as a wellspring
