مهءارضخ لا دبأ

God destroys their greenland.
كو كد كقيص ذبا

Give your friend your blood and money.
 Never justify yourself. Your enemies won't believe you and your friends won't need it.
ش ة ف ربإ

A needle in a haystack.
حس ن طبأ
o
Slower than a turtle.
يرثا ن عبأ
o
Farther than Pleiades.
ظا ن تأ

Follows more than a shadow.
 ّخ ُ ى   ْ َت ا
 دحتا
o
Unity is power.
كري را رتا
o
Leave evil, it will leave you.
ارا ى را تا
o
That hole in the dress is bigger than anyone can fix.
يرا ق ج  ع  ا ث ا إ حصت أ ا تاهو رف

Be aware of the idiot, for he is like an old dress. Every time you patch it, the wind will tear it back again.

Beware of the level-headed when he is angry.

Heavier than a mountain

More cowardly than an ostrich.

Avoid the company of a liar. And if you can't avoid him, don't believe him.
ر  َت ُو كجرب ذخؤي  ت و ر  َت ُو َ ب ذ ُخ َؤ ْي ُ  جا

Sit where you are welcomed and helped (where your hand istaken and good is done to you), and don't sit where you are notwelcomed. (where you are dragged from your leg)

The most ignorant is he who leads Kings but harms friends.

More generous than Hatim. (Hatim Al Ta'ee, a very generousman who lived in the pre-Islam era)
رضب مأ ف يصا قا ف ر أ كقيو ر و ذا

Be careful of your enemy once and of your friend a thousandtimes, for a double crossing friend knows more evil. (or knows moreabout what harms you)

Beware of he whose goodness you can't ask for and whose evilyou can't be protected from.

Do good to people and you'll enslave their hearts.

The best answer comes from the man who isn't angry.
