Below is a list of available cooling centers, with their hours of operation: Theodore Young Community Center 32 Manhattan Avenue, White Plains (914) 682-3622 Hours: Sun-Sat, 24 hours Mamaroneck Senior Citizens Center Weaver Street Firehouse, Mamaroneck (914) 834-8840 Hours: Mon-Fri, 10:00am-6:00pm Hugh A Doyle Senior Center 94 Davis Ave, New Rochelle (914) 235-2363 Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:00pm Town of Ossining Senior Nutrition Center 95 Broadway, Ossining (914) 762-8953 Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00am-10:00pm

During this hazardous heat wave, please check on elderly relatives and neighbors and encourage them to seek out air-conditioned places to escape from the oppressive heat, said Senator Oppenheimer. Elderly residents are particularly vulnerable to the heat and must take precautions to stay cool and hydrated. Lets all work together to stay safe this summer. ###
