Shepherds Bible Rev CHAPTER 1919:1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia;Salvation, and glory, and honour, and powers unto the Lord our God:# Notice that these voices are in the heavens, not the earth. Here are the saints that we read about inthe 5th chapter of Revelation, which were already at the altar. In Greek, a better translation for muchpeople would be My people.2. For true and righteous are His judgments; for He hath judged the great whore, which did corruptthe earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of His servants at her hand.# Here is the avenging which was called for by the saints in the 6th chapter.3. And again they said, Alleluia, And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.# This smoke is the haze of deception, and it will be no more.4. And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and wor-shipped God that sat on thethrone! saying. Amen; Alleluia.# These are the same four beasts, that, properly translated, mean the cherubims. This is the last timethey will be mentioned in the Bible. The elders have completed their work and are giv-ing praise.5. And a voice came out of the throne, saying. Praise our God, all ye His servants, and ye that fearHim, both small and great.6. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as thevoice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.# These are the voices of many people, masses who have learned the truth.7. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come. and Hiswife hath made herself ready.#Notice the word used here is wife, not widow, virgin, or bride, which were words used throughoutRevelation to denote His wife. He has returned and claimed His own, the firstfruits, or elect, andthey have become His wife again.8. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linenis the righteousness of saints.# Righteousness in the original text reads righteous acts. This explains how the wife in verse sevenmakes her-self ready. The fine linen in which she is arrayed is in fact the right-eous acts that she, theelect, accom-plished in the face of Satan.9. And he saith unto me, Write, Bles-sed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of theLamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.# Notice the word called. Matthew 22 tells us of the parable of those called to the wedding. That iswhat we are talking about in this verse. He sent out His servants with invitations to His wedding, but
no one came. The servants were killed. Then the king sent for his army and burned the city. Whatcity? Babylon. Many that think they are called will be cast into darkness, because they have not therobe of righteous acts. Many are called, but few are chosen. Blessed are they which are.10. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the test-imony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.# The spirit of prophecy is the word of truth spoken by the elect. Remember in Revelation 1:1, itsays to show unto His servants. He intends for you to understand this revelation. Revelation meansto reveal.11. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was calledFaithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war.#In the 6th chapter, there was another white horse and another rider, but that was the false Christ.Let there be no doubt that this rider is Christ.12. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself.13. And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God.#Refer to Isaiah 63:3-4 and read: I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there wasnone with Me: for I will tread them in Mine anger, and trample them in My fury; and their bloodshall be sprinkled upon My garments, And I will stain all My raiment. For the day of ven-geance isin Mine heart, and the year of My redeemed is come. John 1:1 says, The Word was with God, andthe Word was God.14. And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.#Caution! Satan riding a white horse, and his angels with him (Revelation 12:9) will come first. Seeyou do not confuse it with this glorious occa-sion of Christs appearance!15. And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shallrule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the wine press of the fierceness and wrath of AlmightyGod.# He declares war and His weapon is the truth. See Psalms 14:2.16. And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORDOF LORDS.17. And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowlsthat fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the greatGod;18. That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and theflesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both smalland great.
