Bible Study Lesson: Christianity a Way of LifeChristianity is not a religion; it is a way of life. The doctrine and the Gospel of JesusChrist teach born-again Christians how to live the life that GOD has given to us andhow to live life to His Glory. Are you living life in the fullness and glory in ChristJesus?
There are much manmade church dominations (Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, SeventhDay Adventist and all others) out in the world teaching doctrines that have been leavenedwith worldly ideas, but are not wholly the doctrine and/or the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These doctrines have left many Christians confused to how they should be living in theBody of Christ. This is why it is so terribly important that every individual Christian takethe time to read GOD’S WORD and get to know Jesus Christ personally for them self and not rely on others to teach them as to what the Scriptures teach. Mankind can and dooften make mistakes, but GOD doesn’t err or change His ways. The following study lesson is from GOD’S WORD out of the King James Version HolyBible and aided by the Strong’s Concordance and the Quick Notes Bible Dictionary. Thisstudy is designed to edify Christians in the Christian way of life according to GOD’SWORD and by the doctrine and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.Definition of “Gospel”: The “good news” that God has provided salvation for all peoplethrough the atoning death of His Son (Mark 1:1-15). The word is also used of theteachings of Jesus and the apostles.
Christianity, a way of life
Founded on Christ1 Corinthians 3: 10 “According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wisemasterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every mantake heed how he buildeth thereupon.”(Note: Both definitions below come from the “Quick Note Bible Dictionary by GeorgeW. Knight and Rayburn W. Ray” and I would recommend this dictionary to everyChristian interested in study of the Word of God.)Definition of “Christ”: The Anointed One, the Old Testament Hebrew Messiah.Definition of “Jesus Christ”: The Son of God and Savior of the world. Jesus is the Greek form of the name Joshua, meaning “Savior”. Christ means “the anointed one,” identifyingHim as the promised Messiah of Old Testament prophecy (Galatians 4:4-5).Jesus was born during the reign of Herod the Great as Roman ruler over Palestine, some time before 4 B.C., the date of Herod’s death (Matthew 2:1). After a publicministry of perhaps three years, He was crucified about A.D. 30. He preexisted as theeternal Word of God (John 1:1, 18; 8:58) and participated in the creation of the world(John 1:3). His advent in human form, including His virgin birth in Bethlehem (Isaiah

7:14, Micah 5:2), was foretold in the Old Testament (Psalms 2:7-8; Isaiah 9:6-7). As theGod-man, Jesus was incarnated to reveal God in an understandable way (Matthew 1:23;John 1:14-18) and “to make reconciliation for the sins of the people” (Hebrews 2:17-18).As a boy, Jesus grew physically and advanced in knowledge (Luke 2:51-52). Yet, Hehad a consciousness of His divine mission (Luke 2:49). He was baptized by John theBaptist to “fulfill all righteousness” and to identify with humanity (Matthew 3:15-17). Inresisting Satan’s temptations at the beginning of His public ministry, the sinless Savior refused to break dependence on the Father and to establish His kingdom in any fashionother than by suffering (Matthew 4:7-10.)Jesus’ public ministry was short and revolutionary (John 17:4). He came preaching andhealing (Mark 1:38-42), teaching (Luke 6:6), and seeking the lost (Luke 19:10). After anearly campaign in Judea in southern Palestine, He began a major campaign the region of Galilee in northern Palestine with Capernaum as His home base. His hometownsynagogue in Nazareth rejected Him, but the common people heard Him gladly (Luke4:16-32).He proclaim a spiritual kingdom which require repentance and faith rather than blind and ritualistic obedience to the law and the legalistic demands of the Pharisees(Matthew 6:10, 33; Luke 13:3). His later ministry was devoted to training His disciplesand preparing them for His death and their witness to others in the Holy Spirit’s power (Luke 24:46-49).Jesus’ actions such as denouncing the Pharisees (Matthew 23), healing on the Sabbath(Matthew 12:8-14), and cleansing the temple angered the religious leaders among theJews and disturbed Roman officials (Matthew 21:23). His triumphal entry into Jerusalemon a donkey disappointed His followers wanted an earthly king (Luke 24:19-21). After observing the Passover with His disciples and instituting the Lord’s Supper, He was betrayed into the enemy hands (Luke 22:15-21).In His trial before Pilate, Jesus acknowledged His kingdom “not of this world” (John18:36-37). Nevertheless, He was charged with treason and crucified between two thieves(John 19:14-16; Luke 23:33). On the third day He arose from the grave, conquering sinand death for believers (Acts 13:30; 1 Corinthians 15:57). Jesus ascended to the Father, where He “ever liveth to make intercession” (Hebrews 7:25). He will return for righteous judgment (Acts 17:31), to raise the dead (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17), and to usher in thetime when all must confess that “Jesus Christ is Lord” (Philippians 2:9-11; Revelation11:15).Based on doctrines1 Corinthians 15:1-4 “

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2By which alsoye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed invain.
