superpower is a state with a dominant position in the international system which has the ability to influence events and its own interests and project power on a worldwide scale to protect those interests. A superpower is traditionally considered to be one step higher than a great power.

potential superpower is a state that is speculated to be, or to be in the process of becoming, a superpower at some point in the 21st century.

most commonly mentioned as being potential superpowers are Brazil, China the European Union, India and Russia, based on a variety of factors.

India really shining? Is it really on the path of becoming a superpower? India is surely marching ahead, but are all the Indians marching ahead or is it just a small fraction of the population doing so?

1. Adequate geographical size, 2. Adequate population, having a good level of natural intelligence, 3. Reasonable level of natural resources, 4. Will of the population to be superior.

1: The information technology sector has been the primary driver of India's economic growth. 2: India is decades behind China. 3: India's democratic politics will prevent a rapid build-up of the country's infrastructure. 4: Uncontrolled population growth is a major burden for India. 5: India's education system is world class.

Reasons are.. Illiteracy Poverty Religion riots Unemployment Corrupted politicians Gender inequalities

India can be a superpower because of its Adequate geographical size, Adequate population, natural intelligence, natural resources, Will to be superior. But this would be reality turns into a myth because of riots on very small issues, corruption , high illiteracy rate and last but not the least is gender inequality.
