Description

One of the most current and widely discussed factors that could lead to the ultimate end of existence of Earth and Man is global warming and its devastating effects. Scientists have established how fast the Earth is heating up, and how the warming effects on Earth may affect crops and climatic conditions. Several current trends clearly demonstrate that global warming is directly impacting on; the melting of icecaps resulting into rising sea levels and significant worldwide climatic changes. This paper will discuss the degree of destruction caused by global warming; contributing factors to warming, and finally, will highlight what we can do to decrease the current rate of global warming. It also discusses legal aspects related to global warming of Kyoto Protocol and The Climate Stewardship Act (2005). In my understanding, global warming represents a fundamental threat to all living things on earth. Hence, it is an important issue of this decade for Sustainability of the Earth and the existence of Life.
