3. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:(A) Nationality / Citizenship:
For Officer JMG Scale-I (Post code No.01): Candidate must be Indian Citizen.For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) (Post code No.02): Candidate must be IndianCitizen.
Candidates for both the above posts must be domicile of Karnataka
(B) Educational Qualification (As on. 01.07.2011):
i) Post Code No.01Officer Junior Management Scale I: Graduate in any discipline froma Recognised University.
(Preference will be given to candidates having Computerknowledge)
ii) Post Code No.02Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Graduate in any discipline from aRecognised UniversityORA Pass in Higher Secondary School examination of 10+2 or 10+2+3 pattern/ 11
Std. of 11+3 pattern / Pre-Degree or intermediate or any equivalent examination with a minimumof 50% marks in the aggregate in case of General Candidates and 45% in case of SC/STand PC / Ex - servicemen candidates.ORDiploma in Banking recognised by State or Central Govt. is preferredORPass with 60% marks in Matriculation/ SSC (old pattern)/ SSLC/ 10+2+3 pattern in caseof General Candidates and 55% in case of SC/ST and PC / Ex - servicemen candidates.

All persons eligible for age relaxation under 3 (c) 8 must produce the domicilecertificate at the time of interview, from the District Magistrate in the KashmirDivision within whose jurisdiction he/she had ordinarily resided or any otherauthority designated in this regard by the Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir, to theeffect that the candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during 1
January 1980 to 31
December 1989.3.
Above relaxations are available only if the candidates fulfill the variousconditions prescribed in the Govt. of India orders and instructions in this regard.To claim age relaxation, reserved category candidates should submit a copy of theCaste/Category Certificate.
Definitions of Ex-Servicemen (EXSM):
Only those candidates shall be treated as Ex-Servicemen whofulfill the revised definition as laid down in Govt. of India, Ministry of HomeAffairs, Dept. of Personnel & Administrative Reforms notification No.36034/5/85/Estt (SCT) dated 27.10.1986 as amended from time to time.
Disabled Ex-Servicemen (DISXS)
: Ex-Servicemen who while serving in ArmedForces of the Union disabled in operation against the enemy or in disturbed areasshall be treated as DISXS.
Dependents of Ex
Servicemen killed in action (DXS):
servicemen killed in thefollowing operations would be deemed to have been killed in action attributable tomilitary service (a) war, (b) war like operations or Border Skirmishes either withPakistan on cease fire line or any other country, (c) fighting against armedhostilities in a counter insurgency environment, viz., Nagaland, Mizoram etc., (d)serving with peace keeping mission abroad. (e) laying or clearance of minesincluding enemy mines as also mine sweeping operation between one monthbefore and three months after conclusion of an operation, (f) frost bite duringactual operations or during the period specified by the government, (g) dealingwith agitating Para military forces personnel (h) IPKF personnel killed during theoperations in Sri Lanka.NOTE:(1)
Candidates still serving in Defence Services and desirous of applying under Ex-Servicemen category should submit a certificate from the competent authoritythat they would be released/retired on or before 30.06.2011(2)
An Ex-Servicemen who has once joined a Government job on civil side afteravailing of the benefits given to him as an Ex-Servicemen for his re-employmentincluding a job in the Public Sector Undertaking ceases to enjoy ex-servicemanstatus for further employment.(3)
Ex-Servicemen candidates who have already secured employment under the
Central Govt. in Group “C” & “D” will be permitted the b
enefit of age relaxationas prescribed for Ex-Servicemen for securing another employment in a highergrade
or cadre in Group ‘C’/’D’ under the Central Govt. However, such candidates
will not be eligible for the benefit of reservation for Ex-Servicemen in CentralGovt. jobs.
Definition:Persons with Disabilities (PWD) 
Definition of categories of Disabilities:
An Orthopaedically Challenged (OC)
Person is one suffering from LocomotorDisability or Cerebral Palsy. Person who suffers from not less than 40% of relevantdisability (as certified by a Medical Board appointed by the Central /State Govt.)would be eligible for reservation in services/posts.
Locomotor Disabilities means disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading tosubstantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of Cerebral Palsy.
Cerebral Palsy means a group of non progressive conditions of a personcharacterized by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult orinjuries occurring in the pre-natal or infant period of development.
