 The Consortium or Street Children (CSC) is a rapidly growing network o 50+ international NGOs whichwork globally through their network o local partners. The CSC works with and through their membersto improve the quality and stability o projects to serve street children and to prevent urther generationso children rom being orced to live and work on the street. By acting together as a group, the CSC aimsto achieve improvements or street children with a collective strength, reaching wider audiences witha greater voice.
Vision Statement
 A world where children have a voice…Where children have a choice…And are protected rom abuse and neglect.
Mission Statement
  The mission o the Consortium or Street Children is to improve the lives o street children worldwide inthe areas o prevention and early intervention, HIV/AIDS, violence, street child-centred education, andchild participation and empowerment by:
Creating a global network o organisations dedicated to the rights; development, and protectiono street children and children at risk o taking to the streets;
Pooling resources, implementing joint projects, and sharing promising practices;
Making grants available to our smaller member organisations and their overseas partners;
Carrying out action research on various issues related to street children;
Piloting innovative projects with our members or other partners;
Infuencing policymakers at international and national levels;
Strengthening the capacity o our members through training in child protection, participatorylearning and action methodologies, organisation development, and a rights-based approach toworking with street children; and,
Raising public awareness o the challenges aced by street children, as well as the opportunitiesor their development.
