Diabetes type 1 1. Type 1 diabetes is caused by damage to the pancreas. Its necessary to use insulin to decrease the high blood sugar. There is frequent urination, unusual thirst and hunger, irritation or weight loss. 2. Type 1 diabetes has been around since the 1500 B.C. 3. It was first found in the Egyptian Papyrus. 4. The gender age of people having diabetes type 1 are before 20 years of age. Men have the highest population increasing of having diabetes, either type 1 or 2. The ethnic groups of having type 1 diabetes are whites, people of different race tent to get type 2 diabetes. 5. Diabetes type 1 is not curable because some of the cells which are called beta cells are damaged or destroyed. 6. The medical condition of type 1 diabetes is managed by taking insulin which helps calm down the high blood sugar since there is no cure. 7. Type 1 diabetes affects peoples lives weather its short term of life time on it or long term by the medications they have to take. As years pass they slowly have some insulins taken away as there sugar changes. It affects them physically and emotionally because knowing that they have this decease for life must make them feel really bad and they could change, and also they lose many weight and people physically change their looks. Financially, people that have type 1 diabetes spend less money on buying food because its less food they have to eat. People have to watch the way they eat and can only eat some sort of amounts of food doctors require them and drink a lot of water to maintain the right amount of sugar. 8. Some of the symptoms people have to report to their physicians are the way they physically act, by the way they pee and if they have hunger issues theres irritation sometimes and dizziness.
