Thegoalofcommunityeducationistoimpartbasicteachingonthenatureofman,hishistory,hislife;hiswayofworkingandofself-governingintheworldandinPuertoRico.Suchteaching,addressedtothecitizensmeetinginruralandurbancommunities,willbeimpartedthroughmotionpictures,radio,books,pamphlets,postersandgroupdiscussions.Theobjectistopro-videthegoodhandofourpopularculturewiththetoolofabasiceducation.
In
practicethiswillmeangivingtothecommunitythewish,thetendencyandthewayofmakinguseofitsownaptitudesforthesolutionofmanyofitsownproblemsofhealth,education,co-operation,sociallifethroughtheactionofthecommunityitself.Thecommunityshouldnotbecivicallyunemployed.Thecommunitycanbeconstantlyandusefullyemployedinitsownservice,intermsofprideandsatisfactionforthemembersthereof.
