Maybe I did not find it but is control-option-command-8 listed? gets really handy for dark surroundings, but has to be activated before in the settings.

On OLDER MAC's to take a picture of the screen use "shift" + "control" + the number "3" You will hear a shutter click. Then when you go to Insert it will show as Picture 1
