    Upnishads are the gem of Vedic texts and they are germinating point of various philosophies originated in India and outside .There are lot of translation and explanations of these text existing for thousands of year. Most of school of thoughts in Hinduism have written vast commentaries upon these texts and tried to prove that there view of thought is based upon Vedas.
    This text is written in poetry form in one of the most important language of India. The Maithili poem form will make original text accessible in native language. The other reason is mother tongue is most close to an individual and it directs hits the chord of heart and brings diverse thoughts which become mechanical process in other languages.
    The poetry form is most close to heart of man. The translation in prose gets devoid of beauty from the text and looks unnatural. Many words have different meanings in Sanskrit and gives different meanings when arranged in different permutation. It’s always better to give people chance to get all meaning in spite of having just one.
    Many words in Sanskrit in Maithili being common as its origin being the former make the work easier. This journey of writing was very fruitful to me as it enhanced my understandability of text and gave me chance to muse in more depth. More dipper meaning of text is matter of meditation.

      Introduction

      This is story of boy Nachiketa and his dialogues with death. Nachiketa has very descent lineage his father being the Auddalika Aaruni, the great Vedic sage who had knowledge of Brahma. He is himself part of different Vedic lore.

      This story is repeated in Mahabharata, Rigveda (Mandala 10/135) and Taittiriya Brahmin with little variation. The story being Nachiketa still a boy sees his father doing sarvamedha yajna in which a person donates all of his possession. His father donates old cows which cannot produce milk to the priests.

      It is not clear why person like Aaruni donated old cows as he was himself expert in laws of Vedic sacrifice. The boy Nachiketa was in his father’s home at that point of sacrifice. In Vedic times pupil visited schools situated in home of a Guru , Nachiketa may be vesting home for ceremony or he may be studying under his father who was himself a renowned teacher of that time .

      Yajna considered one of the duties of all being in Hinduism which gives desired things to human being. The Devtas in Hinduism are to be propiated by yajna and they gives desired result to human being as the rule of supreme lord. Nachiketa got sharddha in his heart as result of yajna which is result of doing yajna without any desires.
