Note
There are two dierentvarieties o button covers onthe market. One uses a simplecup and lid to position theabric and press the shank inplace. The second has teetharound the edge that grabthe abric while you push theshank in place. Either varietywill work well or this project.
Cut out the elt ront and patternedcotton inside pieces. Cut the twoyellow inside needle strips with regularscissors, and then use pinking sheersto cut the two smaller purple strips.Follow enclosed instructions to ironHeat and Bond usible interacing to theunderside o the cotton scrap. Use thetemplates on page 112 to cut the bird outo the backed cotton. Next cut both thewing and beak templates rom the eltscraps.
