Since the Super Bowl era began in 1966, Head CoachRex Ryan is only the second head coach to lead histeam to the conference championship game in his firsttwo seasons after inheriting a team that did not reachthe playoffs the year prior to him becoming head coach.
He is also one-of-five head coaches to earn an appear-ance in the conference championship in their first twoseasons as head coach. Overall, this is Ryan’s third con-secutive AFC Championship game. He served as the de-fensive coordinator for Baltimore in 2008.
