Building Products Warranty

Pilkington Pyrostop Fire Resistance Glass and Pilkington Pyrodur Fire Protection Glass and Insulating Glass Units Containing Pilkington Pyrostop and Pilkington Pyrodur

Pilkington North America, Inc. (PNA) warrants that, subject to Requirements for Proper Handling and Installation as set forth below, and if properly installed in a re rated support system, approved by a recognized independent testing laboratory (e.g. Underwriters Laboratories): a) its Pilkington Pyrostop Fire Resistance Glass and Pilkington

b) its insulating glass units containing Pilkington Pyrostop and Pilkington Pyrodur will not develop material obstruction of vision between the interior glass surfaces due to Pilkington Pyrostop and Pilkington Pyrodur manufacturing defects; and c) the specied re rating will not be degraded due to any such defect. This warranty shall extend for a period of ve (5) years from the date of original factory shipment by PNA.

Pyrodur Fire Protection Glass will meet PNAs published Specications;

It is essential that glazing contractors or other handlers or installers of Pilkington Pyrostop and Pilkington Pyrodur be familiar with such Guidelines.

Obtaining Copies of Specications and Guidelines Copies of Pilkington Pyrostop and Pilkington Pyrodur Specications and Glazing and Handling Guidelines will be provided with each order. Additional copies will be mailed free of charge at any time, upon request, to Pilkington North America, Inc., General Manager Fire Protection Glass (Please see address overleaf).

Inspection: Limitation of Remedy PNA reserves the right to have any glass to which the foregoing warranty applies inspected in the eld by a qualied representative of PNA, and to have samples furnished to PNA for examination and laboratory analysis. PNAs liability under this warranty shall be limited to replacement of Pilkington Pyrostop and Pilkington Pyrodur or the insulating

glass, the glass furnished as such replacement will carry the same warranty for the balance of the warranty period, and the same delivery terms that applied to the original shipment. This warranty is given by PNA in lieu of and to the exclusion of all other rights and remedies, however arising, which any purchaser, installer, or user of Pilkington Pyrostop and Pilkington Pyrodur might otherwise have. In no event shall PNA be responsible for any costs of removal, installation or reinstallation, for loss of use, or for incidental, consequential, or other damages of any kind.

Except for the foregoing warranties, and notwithstanding warranties that may be made by fabricators, assemblers, or subsequent manufacturers to third parties upon any re-sale of the above named products, PNA hereby disclaims all representations or warranties of any kind to any person, whether expressed or implied, in fact or in law, including without limitation the warranty of merchantability or the warranty of tness for a particular purpose, regardless of PNAs knowledge (if any) of the intended use of the products.
