3. AnalYsis ond Conclusion:
a. No D/Fling of any aign.o.l t n l ~ acccmplishod duo to lack
ot proper equiII'Dcnt.
b. AN/.u:c.-l3 caused considerable interference in that it
produeed definite pulses extending fran 74 to 3000 me nitb no fading
or hamonie chnraetc.ristics .. These pulses mode it impossible to
locate enel:lY siSIl4ls in the 300 to 3000 mc band. Hanever, tho 740-
300 me 'J7&a l c : ~ s af'fCictcd and could be read through.. This effect
mls probably due to poor bonding ot the A])/ARl.lJ ..
c. The mF J;loter in th6 1lJV/1.;p;..-6 t;<as totally inoperative
and the heterotone oscillator at the AN/IJIR-4 'J7QS inte.r:mittently
inoperctive. This 1'1'3& the reason for the undetermined certainty
or the PRF characteristic in moat signals
