RULES FOR BLOCKING THE JET SWEEP

SE: Stalk #1 (head to outside) RT : 1st Man on or outside B-Gap RG: Pull - look for PSLBer to FS run support. OC: Fire-On-Backer LG: Fire-On-Backer LT: Fire-On-Backer SE: Cutoff RHB: #2 on our outside B-Gap TB: Fake Guard Trap look for BSLBer to Cutoff LHB: BC - Crossover step to full speed motion aiming 1 foot behind the QB. Secure handoff, lose a yard, and Run to the Jungle. (Hash, #s, Sideline) QB: Take a 6 lateral step to direction of the play, reverse pivot and hand the ball off in the playside A-Gap. 2nd Step to TB then fake waggle.

CRITICAL COACHING POINTS

6 lateral step by QB prior to the handoff. Snap Point outside leg of the offensive guard. Hand-off must take place in the playside A-Gap. QB needs to hand the ball off with the proper hand. Use a heel lift or head nod to put the RB in motion. Proper alignment by the RB regardless of formation. Full Speed Motion RBs Aiming Point is one foot behind the QB. Once the RB receives the handoff he needs to lose one yard. Avoids trash and allows OG to get out in front. Run to the Jungle (hash, #s, sideline). Read HBs block. (#s) HB cannot allow any penetration
