Class Description:
This unit of study will be for a Gen-Ed Fourth Grade Class with
some students with IEP’s. The class size is 25 students, 13 male, 12 female.

have IEP’s.

Individuals who helped strengthen democracy in the New World

Objectives:
Students will be able to:
 
Identify a historical figure important to New York State History and describe atleast one important contribution to New York State
 
Examine primary sources to gather information about a historical figure in NewYork State History
 
Use search engines to locate necessary information about each historical figure
 
Complete a graphic organizer with information about the historical figure
 
Work collaboratively in a group to discuss historical figure and their research
 
Create an art presentation representing their research
