All About Me Bag

We will begin this year with the WHO WE ARE unit of inquiry. To help students learn more about their classmates and make connections with each other and their teachers, students are asked to bring an All About Me bag to school. The bag needs to contain items of personal significance to your child. It can be any type of bag however we recommend up to 3 - 4 items be included in the bag. The items should be things that you and your child have identified as being important to them. Your child can include things like photos, toys, books, flags, artifacts from places your child is from or has been to, etc. Your child will share these items with the class, telling us a little bit about each thing in their bag. As an example, I brought in a cloth bag that contained a photo of my children, an ipod with my favorite songs, a football, an American flag, a favourite book, some artifacts from Africa and a bag of gummy dinosaurs that I shared with the children. When? Students are asked to bring their All About Me bags any day next week. Students will share their bags over the next couple of weeks. We look forward to learning more about each other! Best regards, Denise and Khun Nitt
