HOME ASSIGNMENT - I

1 a) Determine IDFT of
X(k) = 12, - 1.5 +J 2.598, -1.5+J0.866, 0, -1.5- j 0.866,

- 1.5 – j2.598
b) Let x(n) is an even length sequence with an N-point DFT X(k).
If x(2k) = 0 for 0 ≤ k ≤ N/2-1 show that x(n) = - x(n+N/2)

2 Let x(n), 0 ≤ n ≤ N-1 be a sequence with an N-point DFT x(k),


0 ≤ k ≤ N-1
a) If x(n) is symmetric satisfying the condition x(n) = x(N-1-n),
show that x(N/2) = 0 for N even
b) If x(n) is antisymmotric sequence satisfying the condition
x(n) = -x (N-1-n) show that x(0) = 0 for N even
c) If N even and x(n) = - x (n+N/2) then x(k) = 0 for K even.

3 a) Determine the 8 point DFT of the sequence

b) Find the DFT of a sequence x(n) = 1 for 0  ≤ n ≤ 2 and 0
other wise for N=8.

4 Find the circular convocation of the, two sequence, x 1(n)
