Quizzes: Weeklyquizzesaregiventoinspireyoutokeepontopofstudyingandactasagaugeforhowwellyouredoing intheclass.Theywillcoverthematerialfromthepreviousweekslecturesaslistedinthecourseoutline.Ifyou arenotdoingwellonthequizzesandfindthemdifficult,thenthatisasignthatyouneedtochangeyour approachtostudyingforAnatomyandPhysiology.Iwilldropyourtwolowestquizscores.Nomakeupquizzes willbegiven. WrittenExams: AnatomyandPhysiologyismostlyafactualsubjectwithobjectiveexamsusedasthemainevaluationtool.Each examwillbebasedonlecturematerialandassociatedchaptersfromthetext.TheexamsareNOTcumulative andonlytestonthematerialfromthemostrecentsectionofthecourse.Nomakeupexamswillbegiven. LabPracticals: Yourunderstandinginlabisevaluatedusinglabpracticalexams.Labpracticalexamswillbethesameweekas thelectureexamsandcoverjustthelabmaterialfromthatsectionofthecourse.Asthefirstlabpracticalnears, Iwillprovidesomesamplequestionsanddiscussstrategiestodowellontheseexams.Itisimportanttocome toclasseachweekprepared,focusduringlab,andreviewwhatyouvelearnedeveryweek.Nomakeuplab practicalswillbegiven LaboratoryReviewSheets: Laboratoryreviewsheetswillneedtobecompletedturnedinperiodicallythroughoutthesemesterfor evaluation.Tobeconsideredforevaluation,eachsetofreviewsheetsmustbestapled,and,yournameandthe dateofeachlabmustbepresentonthefirstpageofeachset. LateWork: IfIreceiveyourworkafterthescheduledduedate,pointsaredeductedat10%perdaytheassignmentislate.If unknowncircumstancesoccurthatwillpreventyoufromsubmittingyourworkbytheduedate,calloremailme immediately.WorkwillNOTbeacceptedifitismorethan1weeklate. CourseWithdrawal: Toofficiallywithdrawfromacourse,thestudentmustdosoonlinethroughtheYCPortal.Withdrawingfroma courseafterthepublisheddeadlineforwithdrawalrequiresinstructorapprovalandsignature.Awithdrawal Wwillnolongerbeassignedwhenastudentdoesnotcompleteaclass.Ifyoudecidetowithdrawfromthe classitisyourresponsibilitytodoso.Instructorswillassignonlylettergradesforstudentswhoremainenrolled.
