Quizzes: Weeklyquizzesaregiventoinspireyoutokeepontopofstudyingandactasagaugeforhowwellyouredoing intheclass.Theywillcoverthematerialfromthepreviousweekslecturesaslistedinthecourseoutline.Ifyou arenotdoingwellonthequizzesandfindthemdifficult,thenthatisasignthatyouneedtochangeyour approachtostudyingforAnatomyandPhysiology.Iwilldropyourtwolowestquizscores.Nomakeupquizzes willbegiven. WrittenExams: AnatomyandPhysiologyismostlyafactualsubjectwithobjectiveexamsusedasthemainevaluationtool.Each examwillbebasedonlecturematerialandassociatedchaptersfromthetext.TheexamsareNOTcumulative andonlytestonthematerialfromthemostrecentsectionofthecourse.Iwilldropyourlowestwrittenexam score.Inordertopasstheclass,eachstudentmusttakeandpassthelastexamofthesemester.Nomakeup examswillbegiven. LabPracticals: Yourunderstandinginlabisevaluatedusinglabpracticalexams.Labpracticalexamswillbethesameweekas thelectureexamsandcoverjustthelabmaterialfromthatsectionofthecourse.Asthefirstlabpracticalnears, Iwillprovidesomesamplequestionsanddiscussstrategiestodowellontheseexams.Itisimportantistocome toclasseachweekprepared,focusduringlab,andreviewwhatyouvelearnedeveryweek.Iwilldropyour lowestlabpracticalscore.Inordertopasstheclass,eachstudentmusttakeandpassthelastlabpracticalof thesemester.Nomakeuplabpracticalswillbegiven LaboratoryReviewSheets: Laboratoryreviewsheetswillneedtobecompletedturnedinfourtimesduringthesemesterforevaluation.To beconsideredforevaluation,eachsetofreviewsheetsmustbestapled,and,yournameandthedateofeach labmustbepresentonthefirstpageofeachset LateWork: IfIreceiveyourworkafterthescheduledduedate,pointsaredeductedat10%perdaytheassignmentislate.If unknowncircumstancesoccurthatwillpreventyoufromsubmittingyourworkbytheduedate,calloremailme immediately.WorkwillNOTbeacceptedifitismorethan1weeklate. CourseWithdrawal: Toofficiallywithdrawfromacourse,thestudentmustdosoonlinethroughtheYCPortal.Withdrawingfroma courseafterthepublisheddeadlineforwithdrawalrequiresinstructorapprovalandsignature.Awithdrawal Wwillnolongerbeassignedwhenastudentdoesnotcompleteaclass.Ifyoudecidetowithdrawfromthe classitisyourresponsibilitytodoso.Instructorswillassignonlylettergradesforstudentswhoremainenrolled.
