Social Return on Investment an introduction
Social Return on Investment (SROI) is an innovative way to measure and account orthe value you create with your work. The methodology is relatively new to the UK,but it is attracting considerable interest rom third sector organisations, government,unders, investors and commissioners because o its ability to tell a compelling storyo change. As well as helping organisations account or their achievements and attractunding, SROI can also help organisations maximise their social impact and improvethe lives o the people they work with.This short paper gives an overview o SROI. A more detailed guide or people wishingto implement an SROI has also been produced as part o a programme on measuringsocial value being unded rom 2008-11 by the Ofce o the Third Sector.
