The mudslinging between former WikiLeaks-Spokesperson Daniel Domscheit-Berg andfounder Julian Assange escalates: According to Spiegel-informations the Germandeleted thousands of unpublished data once leaked to the organization.
Berlin/Hamburg ± The former WikiLeaks-Spokesperson Daniel Domscheit-Berg stated thathe destroyed more than 3500 unpublished files sent by unknown whistleblowers which arenow apparently irrevocably lost. These are documents stored on the WikiLeaks server till latesummer of 2010 and then taken by a group including Domscheit-Berg when they left theorganization.He claims to ³have the files shredded within the last days to make sure no sources areendangered³, said Domscheit-Berg. Reason: WikiLeaks-Founder Julian Assange could notguarantee a safe handling of the material.According to informations from Spiegel this database included, inter alia, the so-called ÄNo-Fly-List³ of the US government which contains the names of suspects who are not allowed toenter a plan. Assange said that this material also contained insider informations on 20 far-rightorganizations. Domscheit-Berg didn¶t want to confirm this. Since the beginning of this year Assange demanded the return of these files.
