Don't Miss Out On The Tremendous Reward

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate Assalaamu alaykum

Dear Friends I pray that you are well. In this blessed month of Ramadhan, don't miss out on helping the poor and the needy of your Muslim brothers and sisters by giving charity and zakat. The reward is multiplied manifolds in this month and if this good deed happens to be on Laylatul Qadr, it is worth a tremendous reward. Allah says, The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing. (Qur'an al-Baqarah 2:261) Moreover, by doing this you are relieving distress and hardship and you bring happiness to these people. Bringing happiness to the heart of someone will help you a lot in the Hereafter. The Prophet, Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: Whoever removes a worldly hardship from a believer, Allah will remove one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection from him. Whoever grants respite to (a debtor) who is in difficulty, Allah will grant him relief in this world and in the Hereafter. Whoever conceals (the fault of) a Muslim in this world, Allah will conceal him (his faults) in this world and in the Hereafter. Allah will help a person so long as he is helping his brother. (related by Muslim) Zakat is obligatory on your certain wealth, including money, gold and trade goods. There are 8 categories of people who are entitled to receive zakat as mentioned in the Qur'an:

Zakat expenditures are only for the poor (al-Fuqaraa') and for the needy (alMasaakin) and for those employed to collect [zakah] and for bringing hearts together [for Islam] and for freeing captives [or slaves] and for those in debt and for the cause of Allah and for the [stranded] traveler - an obligation [imposed] by Allah. And Allah is Knowing and Wise. (Qur'an At-Tawba 9:60) Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen, may Allah has mercy on him, said, after mentioning the eight types of people who are entitled to zakat: If it is said: who is most deserving of zakaah funds out of these eight categories? We say: The one who is most deserving is the one whose need is greatest, because all of them meet that description, so the one whose need is greatest is most entitled to it. In most cases the ones who are in greatest need are the poor and needy, hence Allaah started with them when He said (interpretation of the meaning): As-Sadaqaat (here it means Zakaah) are only for the Fuqaraa (poor), and Al-Masaakeen (the poor) Majmoo Fataawa Ibn Uthaymeen (18/339). May Allah put in our hearts mercy for others and may Allah show mercy on us and forgive all our sins. Ameen. Please don't forget us in your night prayers. Jazakallahu khairan. And Allah knows best. Wassalaam
