The Roanoke Outdoor Circus (aka The R.0.C.) is a new annual event to encourage healthy, active outdoor recreation: from trail and road running to mountain biking to kayaking to ultimate frisbee to cyclocross racing to road cycling to. By combining the things outdoor enthusiasts love - camping, music, gear, races, and demos - the Roanoke Outdoor Circus is a celebration of everything outdoors. While various events and races will take place throughout the region, downtown Rivers Edge Sports Complex North will serve as festival headquarters - home of the Big Top and Three Rings. There will be something to keep people of all ages and interests engaged and entertained. Event Overview Dates - 10/21-23. Free camping and live music. Food, beer, demos, gear swap, adventure films, vendors, and more. Competitive events including night-time trail run, 10 mile run, mountain bike race, cyclo cross race, ultimate Frisbee, climbing competition, and more. + Non-competitive events including hikes, bike demo, mountain bike gran fondo, stand up paddleboarding, slacklining, mechanical bull, bike rentals, fly fishing casting, guided canoe trips, disc golf, group rides, geocaching, and more. + Unique $40,000 outdoor gear giveaway ~ Gear Junkie Treasure Hunt. The City of Roanoke’s Department of Parks and Recreation in partnership with Roanoke Outside and East Coasters Bike Shop would like to invite you to participate!
