Use AutoShapes in PowerPoint to create a WildThing animal. Drag the
Basic Shapes
and anyother shape menu off AutoShapes so that theysit on the page for quick easy access.Drag
Order 
and
Rotate and Flip
menus off theDraw menu.Colour the shapes by using
Fill Effects
(inPaintCan ) and click on the Pattern Tab.Choose two different colours and then click on apattern, click Ok to add to your shape.Group your shape by clicking and draggingaround it and then go to Draw-Group. You cannow change the size of your animal by clickingand dragging on a corner.

Draw an animal in Paint or Artrage. Select thedrawing by clicking on the Select tool .Copy/paste to a slide in PowerPoint and thenchildren can type a sentence about their animals.
If you save the picture as a jpeg in a folder you will be able touse it again many times in this unit.

tothe Word Animal Pictures files (Emergent, Early or Fluent). Print out the whole page. Children can thenwrite on the publishing lines.
